Now anything other than easycon app will give me the license issue message. Anyway I don't really care now since I just use the navigation. I also don't know what caused the change, that's why I don't like factory reset or system update. Always issue.

Just went SC to check for the absorber replacement they promised me couple of weeks ago. No go, and no ETA. Seems out of stock situation severe and now SC don't dare to promise a date. LOL.

Not sure if the problem you have is same as mine. I am able to connect, just got the no license to show on screen message. Check your cable and did you plug in to the right usb port. Also you need to enable whatever instructions that might appear on your phone.

Can I check if you assume yours is Geely or you can actually see it from car? I am waiting for my absorbers, but truth be told the sound isn't serious. I got my car early Aug so I don't know if mine came with Geely one or not...

Thanks bro. I would assume the SC guy have seen it. If indeed it is Geely one and he still goes request for change, then cock up. LOL. I will check tomorrow if can see, if not not I will just wait for either the replacement or my next service in March 2021, whichever earlier. lol....

Actually I was very tempted by this whole L2 thingy. But come to think of it, really not that useful. Might help prevent some accident etc, but seriously how useful? I for one do not use the lane departure warning, too noisy. Also up till now haven't activate the cruise control (don't even know how) or test out the emergency brake or ACC.

Now this L2 comes with automatic parking and steering back if you deviate lane. For the first one, looks cool and nice. But how many of us can't park the car ourselves FASTER. Not to mention the fear of sensor cock up. The deviate lane one might be cool, but until it is L5, I don't see how useful it is.

Over the long run, say warranty only 3 years for sensors... if they break down you will have tons of issues.

Personally I hope some dealers will be rich and aggressive enough to bring in Tesla and also build those Tesla station. I hope in my lifetime I will be able to witness fully automated self driving...

On a separate topic, this bloody EasyConnect now doesn't work for mirroring no more. Always telling me license issue despite debug mode on and all access given... Anyone else facing this too? And when is the QDLink coming? Android already has the app but how to install on our X70?

I also don't know why. I tried reset the system, that's why I don't like to update the system. Always got screw up. BTW I am also using Huawei P20 Pro... And I remember I was the one telling you how to make it work? Now I am the one not working... no matter what I try. I give up. I will just use the phone holder I bought just for this car. Used to work if I activate it under Navigation, now nothing works. I don't know if it is because I updated the EasyCon app? Hopefully someday Proton will fix it.

Your vios sound system got modified before? I was driving Vios before I change to X70, I find X70 sound system better. Blast the volume and you know what I am talking about.

Lane departure once off will remain off. I disabled that ages ago... very irritating. Only thing I cannot disable (once disable all warning sound gone) is when things near your car this warning sound. Especially irritating when going through gate that's narrow. Sometimes while waiting for traffic, one bike flies past you and you get the sound warning... irritating.

BTW to all X70 drivers here, I drive around close to 300km plus minus on a full tank. Is this normal?

I realized the reading on the panel always off, xx L/km I don't think accurate plus the battery power indicator. Sometimes I start the car it is at 14.2V, most of the time around 12 to 13 something...

Wow you can get so high km... mine just around 300km. Got show, it is around 12.6/km. My trips are short trips though, normally 3 to 15km. What I am trying to say is that the electronic panel not very accurate. The petrol indicator can suddenly drop when I start the car. Likewise the battery voltage and the mileage reader. Readings fluctuate so much I think it is not accurate.

One thing I don't like with this setting is those navigation sounds etc will be very loud too, and the hi proton assistant.

I think CKD DRL can be turned off. Go to the menu, it is one of the options there.

My replacement suspension is still not here yet since Sep... no ETA. Not sure what Proton is doing...

Hi all, I believe some times back someone reported one of his X70 speaker not working?

Unfortunately this also happened to me. CKD. My audio acting funny like having echo/waves, so after testing I found the front passenger side speaker intermittently produces sound. ie after one bump or turn, sounds come on and off etc. According to SA it could be loose wiring and he claimed fixing it would take time. ie quite messy.

Not sure if anyone here got similar experience? Not much feedback from FB forums. Seems like Proton really needs to up its game. My replacement absorbers after 3 months still no ETA, initially SC still boasted would come within a month... faint.

Bro for my case no1 cover is not the issue. I believe I have your issue, no2. Seat rattling sound when slowing down or over uneven road or bump. Sounds like rattling from the side plastic where it holds the belt of the seat belt.

I went to SC during my service and told them this, but they asked me what lock? Can you elaborate on the location of the lock? I can get the sound by hitting the top of the back seat to get the rattling sound.

Personally if I were u, ie I don't drive from point to point too many times, maybe you can just rely on Grab. Sell off your existing car before repair and insurance/road tax. As for SST, that one depends on govt. If within 1.5 months don't get the car just move on if you cannot rely on grab.

BTW I am still waiting for my 4 absorbers replacement, more than 6 months already. And apparently in the SC that I go, all customers face the same issue. So this is something you need to consider when getting X70 or X50.

The earlier batch of CKD ones got local absorbers which are problematic. Apparently need Geely ones. JB one. Doesn't matter as almost all don't have stock... unless they lied.

Just do a google and you will get the usual complaints. I must say after my 2nd service, they fixed most of my problems like irritating sound at the back and music related. But a warning, for some reasons they seem to have severe lack of parts. Things like absorber the whole SC waiting for more than 6 months still no stock. Only urgent selective ones get replacement.

I don't know if spoil at the beginning. Or even if it is spoiled. Just sometimes got sound when going over humps or slowing down. Alignment maybe affected by this too.

Got keke sound when slow or over a hump. Intermittent issue, it seems the earlier batch they use local absorbers (forgot name). Geely one is less problem though some FB pages reported Geely ones having issues too. If your SC is willing to change, just change. Have to wait though, and I am still waiting after 6 months with no ETA. If you don't experience any sound, then ignore it. My car seems to have slight Alignment problem, ie car will drift to right if steering straight. Need to turn anti-clockwise a bit to go straight though not really serious. Not sure if absorber issue or just luck. I suspect even fine tuning will not help if the guy is not skillful.

BTW I really don't think the SC people are of good caliber, don't ask me where though. I think luck as to who you get randomly to service your car and if he is in the right mood. After my latest service, they fixed the speaker missing sound problem yet sometimes I hear sandy distortion that is like the voice breaking up or reception not good. My advice is, if you can tolerate the problem maybe don't fix. Because sometimes fix already got other problems come out.

Anyone with X70 has already experienced issue with the aircon?

My aircon is acting up strange, need to adjust to 22 degrees to even somewhat feel the coldness (23 to 24 previously already very cold). Also today I found the air fan sound getting bigger, like need bigger fan speed to have air blowing out and having more blow air sound.

Not sure I am being paranoid or indeed something wrong with my proton? I think this will be my last proton car. It seems this proton car (when compared to vios) really has a lot of small problems here and there. The kek kek sound coming from my backseat still not fixed despite being sent to the workshop twice to fix it. Put tapes around the hinges, changed absorber, etc. Sound still there. And it is not that thing behind the seat that you can pull. It comes from the clip that clips the seat to be back.

The workshop people even lagi good, says need proton to teach them how to fix the problem. When I contacted Proton, they get the workshop to call me. Endless loop of horror.

I sent it twice (one time to change absorber one time normal serving), they can't fix the problem. Claiming proton needs to teach them. I doubt going to other workshops will yield different results since it is more trial and error. The rattling sound always come back after a while. Meaning when you drive out from workshop the sound isn't that obvious.

Do you mind sending me the link for those rattling sound? If I let down my rear seat, ie the back seat touching the bottom seat, then no sound. So it has to be the clip/hinge that making the sound.

As for the aircon I have to wait until the next service in Sep to change the aircon filter and let them do the inspection.

One thing I don't like about the workshop is that they always blast the aircon full when they try to fix the problem. I will see cigarette butt on the mat and the aircon always in full blast after I get the car. Once I got fed up and went in see how they troubleshoot, they actually on the aircon full blast. Not sure if this is what caused the aircon to act faulty. A bit upset now thinking about it.
