Alisson’s agent has claimed that the Chelsea and Liverpool target is fully focused on Brazil’s World Cup campaign. The 25-year-old goalkeeper has made 64 appearances for Roma since joining the Serie A outfit back in 2016 but is being heavily linked with a move to England this summer. Liverpool were favourites to sign Alisson but Chelsea have overtaken their Premier League rivals in a hotly contested transfer race, with Thibaut Courtois stalling over a new deal at Stamford Bridge.

Reports in Italy suggest that Chelsea have agreed personal terms with the Brazilian over a £100,000-a-week contract.

However, asked about Alisson’s future, his agent Ze Maria Neis told Tele Radio Stereo: ‘Nothing will happen in the next few days. ‘Alisson is 100 per cent focused on the World Cup.’

Chelsea are yet to reach an agreement with Roma over Alisson’s price, with the Italian giants demanding a fee of around €75million (£66m) for the shot-stopper. While Real Madrid remain interested in Alisson, they are unwilling to meet Roma’s valuation of the Brazil international.

The Blues are set to hold out for at least £100 million for their star midfielder this summer but are already on the look out for replacements
Paris Saint-Germain have made Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante their priority transfer target, with the Blues eyeing Lyon's Tanguy Ndombele as a potential replacement.

Goal understands Kante is likely to cost the Ligue 1 champions in excess of £100 million ($132m), though they could offer France international midfielder Adrien Rabiot to the Stamford Bridge outfit as part of the deal.

Either way, PSG sporting director Antero Henrique has made it his mission to bring Kante to Parc des Princes ahead of the 2018-19 campaign, and is willing to offer the former Leicester City man a weekly wage of £220,000-per-week - a £100,000 increase on his current salary in west London.

Chelsea do not want to lose one of their star turns despite missing out on Champions League football for the upcoming season and they could yet open negotiations with Kante regarding a new deal despite his current contract having another three years to run on it.

Should they fail to retain his services, then a move for Ndombele could be fast-tracked, with Chelsea one of a number of clubs to have shown an interest in the 21-year-old.

Having previously spent time out on loan at Amiens, defensive midfielder Ndombele became a regular for Lyon last season, making 50 appearances in all competitions as they secured a third-place finish in Ligue 1.

He is one of a number of players Chelsea are looking at ahead of the new season, though the confusion over their managerial situation continues to confuse matters.

Talks with CSKA Moscow over a £27m ($35.7m) move for Russia star Aleksandr Golovin are at an advanced stage, but the lack of clarity over Antonio Conte's future and his potential replacement, Maurizio Sarri, means making other signings is proving difficult.

Sarri is now expected to take the reins in west London in the next week, with the club's players due back for pre-season training in the coming days, and the former Napoli boss has already outlined a series of transfer targets, many of whom played for him during his time in Naples.

Either way, the club is set to make decisions on the futures of some of their fringe players shortly, with Danny Drinkwater likely to be one of those who is let go so as to make room for new signings.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, however, is not for sale despite the player insisting that he needs to be playing first team football next term.

Having spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, Loftus-Cheek has shone for England during the World Cup and is keen to speak to the club for assurances regarding his future.

Chelsea Reportedly Eyeing Inter Milan's Matias Vecino on Maurizio Sarri's Orders

Maurizio Sarri is reportedly close to finally being appointed Chelsea manger, and Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino is on a transfer wishlist the Italian has given to Blues owner Roman Abramovich.

According to Calciomercato (via Naveen Ullal of Sport Witness), Sarri failed in attempts to sign Vecino when he was in charge at Napoli but remains an admirer of the Uruguayan's, who Inter value at around €25-30 million (£22-26.5 million).

Calciomercato added the south-west London outfit can speed up the signing of Vecino, 26, as soon as Sarri is confirmed as their new manager.

Sarri managed the Uruguay international—who has started all four of La Celeste's matches so far at the 2018 FIFA World Cup—at Empoli back in 2014-15 when the midfielder was on a one-season loan from Fiorentina.

Vecino subsequently joined Inter last summer and made 29 appearances in Serie A in 2017-18, netting three goals and providing two assists.

He has proved to be an effective defensive midfielder who's capable of controlling the pace of a match from the middle of the park as well as keeping hold of the ball and interrupting opposition attacks.

Chelsea already have the inimitable N'Golo Kante in their engine room. But, outside of the Frenchman, they are lacking further reliability or inspiration.

Danny Drinkwater and Tiemoue Bakayoko have largely flopped at Stamford Bridge since joining last summer, while Cesc Fabregas is now 31 years old and arguably past his prime.

Vecino could help freshen up Chelsea's midfield and add further steel and craft.

Meanwhile, his previous relationship with Sarri should allow him to fit in quickly at Chelsea as they look to re-enter the Premier League's top four next term and compete again for the title.

There is currently a managerial muddle at the Blues, with Antonio Conte still in charge with pre-season fast approaching.

Victor Moses admitted recently he does not know when he has to report back or even who will contact him as the Chelsea top brass attempt to battle against time to figure out a solution.

But despite their problems stacking up, the club are still pursuing transfer targets.

Thibaut Courtois' future at Stamford Bridge is looking bleak with his latest comments a come-and-get-me plea to Real Madrid.

A number of players have been targeted to replace him should he make the move to the Bernabeu, with Butland, Alisson and Schmeichel among them.

And according to The Sun, a £30m offer has been made for the Stoke star.

However, new boss Gary Rowett is extremely keen to rebuff the interest as he looks to propel the Potters back to the Premier League.

The former Derby manager wants to offer Butland a £20,000 wage increase, according to The Sun.

And the ex-Birmingham stopper is interested in staying at the bet365 Stadium despite playing in the Championship.

Liverpool are another club interested in the England No.2, who is currently with the national team in Russia.

With Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet not rated highly by Jurgen Klopp, the German manager is keen on strengthening his goalkeeper department as they look to make a Premier League title charge.

After failing to protect their Premier League crown, they finished fifth in the table and missed out on Champions League football.

However, the Stamford Bridge outfit did manage to finish the season with some silverware after beating Manchester United in the FA Cup.

But with Antonio Conte looking likely to leave, acquiring transfer targets has been difficult due to the uncertainty around the club.

Reports in France have stated, though, that Chelsea are in advanced talks with Nice star Seri - who has also been linked to Manchester United and Arsenal.

Christian Ollivier of RTLFrance tweeted: "Jean-Michael Seri @OGCN, in very advanced contact with @Chelsea #ChelseaFC. Even without a coach named so far.

"Personal choice of Abramovich. #RTLFrance."

Chelsea have a number of centre-mids in N'Golo Kante, Danny Drinkwater, Cesc Fabregas and Tiemoue Bakayoko, with Marco van Ginkel, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Lewis Baker and Mario Pasalic all out on loan.

But some are expected to leave, with Drinkwater likely to leave after failing to make an impression.

Despite the uncertainty around the management, Seri has reportedly made Chelsea his priority club to join this summer.

The Gunners have also been heavily linked with the Ivorian, but the 26-year-old has no intention of joining the Emirates outfit.

Russian billionaire Abramovich has also been revealed to be the main instigator of the move.

Reports before the transfer window emerged that the oligarch was looking to take a more active role in the transfer market this summer.

However, he has been hit with a massive problem after being denied a visa.
