Thats y those who said EMUI is shit is those who doesn't have the photography skill, thus can't even take nice photos... laugh.gif

Those who are good in taking pics...certainly will like EMUI one... brows.gif
*
Those who think there is a correlation between the EMUI and photography skills have ZERO idea on photography. LOL biggrin.gif

What happened to the logic of EMUI = photography if the camera is just a tool. And if you don't like EMUI, you must be a Windows user.

Does he even know the difference between computational photography and conventional one? LOL.

Again to each his own. If someone likes EMUI then so be it but telling someone who doesn't like EMUI doesn't have photog skills is ignorant at the very least.

Owning something and acknowledging its weaknesses is a sign that Huawei will improve its camera on the next P series.

There is no perfect camera. The BEST camera is the one you have with you.

Dont buy xone. Just buy the ipacky or other similar ones which cost only rm9 to 20. I seen my friend rm20 one exactly same material. Will black list xone from now on.
*
True. X-one is just rebranding generic cases. Actually, they are not really rebranding, just repackaging these cases.
If you want minimalist type of case, go for X-level, HOCO or Baseus.

Like that cannot use x-one already la. hmm.gif
The watermark super annoying right? End up i put a carbon film on the back, finally no more watermark.
*
I went for Clearcoat (full body matte type) in MobileOutfitters (200RM)
The matte looks nice at the back and if you put a transparent/glass case, there won't be watermarks.

Also, the ClearCoat "case-friendly" matte front is the best screen protector as it can fit into any case you use.
Note that they changed the material and the matte looks like the one being used on your laptop monitors so it's not that blurry anymore smile.gif

Make sure you mention to the staff you want the "case-friendly" front instead of the regular one.
I'll post a picture later with my favorite x-level case. I like my phone to have a minimalist look as possible.

Wouldn't the matte coating dull the screen?
*
Not really dull but it looks like the screen is dimmer. I don't mind because the screen is too bright for my liking when in auto brightness.
I don't miss the pre-installed screen protector especially the smudges and fingerprint it causes. biggrin.gif

Me too.. think the auto brightness is really bright.. smetimes i just off it.. the coating will coat the entire phone is it including the screen ? thought only body.
*
You can purchase only the screen or full body but the difference is only 20RM so why not do Full.
For full body protection, they will install on the front, back and sides (camera not included).

I removed the sides as it can damage my case since all cases are co-molded with the phone so there is no room for space even just a millimeter.

Yes. Or better, tell the staff not to install it.

For me, this is THE best screen protector ever!
It is not obvious and definitely isn't prone to smudges.
The matte is almost as clear as a normal screen protector.

200RM is so worth it because it has LIFETIME REPLACEMENT WARRANTY.

If you buy an x-one screen protector worth 60+RM, after sometime it WILL get scratches.
Then you need to buy a new one. With Clearcoat, you can just go back anytime and have it replaced.

I almost forgot. They charge 3RM for replacement on weekdays and 10RM on Weekends or Holidays.

Actually, they keep on changing their policy. Just a month ago, you have 3 free replacements and succeeding replacements will be charged as per above.

Anyway, still a good deal to me. Better than the overpriced X-one.

The screen protector is thick enough to protect from accidental drops but it would all depend what kind of surface your phone hit on to.
I'm not too concerned about that since I still put on a slim case.

Uhm.. the 200RM is full body protection. Front, back and sides whereas your 40RM x-one is just the front.

And you deliberately computated the replacement during weekends which isn't fair to begin with.

And I'm not here to defend ClearCoat and fight with you because definitely Moutfitters is here to earn money. They don't have direct competitor since Zagg isn't available locally.

I'm only sharing this for everyone to have an option and based on my opinion and if you think this isn't helping, I'd be glad to remove my post.

Thanks for all your info on ClearCoat. I'm definitely interested in getting one. ClearCoat can definitely provide some protection to those who prefer naked feeling of a phone. IMHO, covering up the twilight back with a fugly case (e.g. UAG) is such a waste.

If you never drop your phone, remember me. Happily enjoying the design and aesthetics of this beautiful phone. smile.gif
And don't worry, I won't laugh at you when you drop it. I'll feel bad because I'm not that kind of person wink.gif

Yes, better get one now.
Anyway, I just miss the original flip case from Huawei Ascend P6 (my very first Huawei) where the back is attached via adhesive. lol
It was very slim and minimalist.

I've only had 2 other Huawei phones (P6 and P10) and really, Huawei designs are up there with the best (Apple, HTC, Samsung).
Definitely iPhone-ish but the attention to detail is there.

For all of you who are concerned about Facebook consuming your battery-
Go to Facebook App info > Data Usage
> Turn off Background Data

AND..
You can also go to
Battery > App Launch > Turn off Run in Background.

And so ends my adventure with the P20 Pro after a month smile.gif

Surprised that you left the boat at the same time as me!
I sold mine to a friend last week and I still miss my P20 until now.

I purchased the HTC U11+ (being a solid HTC fan), and I just realized why Huawei has overtaken one of the Android leaders in the industry.

No, it's NOT about the camera (give and take, both phones are excellent in their own way).
It's all about the overall user experience.

I hate to admit the fact that HTC Sense is as dated as the old HTC One M8.
Nothing has changed and being boring has no place in 2018.

My first ever HTC phone was the HTC One M7 which I think is THE BEST Android smartphone in its time.
The following year, I bought my first Huawei - the Ascend P6.
But then I missed HTC so much so I moved on to the HTC One M8 (which again is the best smartphone that year).

Ironically, the tables have turned.
I miss Huawei badly that I am thinking of selling (or keeping for old time's sake) my U11+ for the P20.
