how come i pay RM109 (30mbps )+ Ruby Pack (RM30)= RM139 only ?

I'm sibeh confused now...

Last week I got a call from TM upgrading me from VIP10 (RM149) to Unifi 30 + Ruby for 10 bucks extra (RM159), this is at my old house. WITHOUT contract.

Today my wife got a call from TM wanna upgrade from Unifi Lite (RM129) to Unifi 30 with free HyppTV installation for 10 bucks extra (RM139), this is at my new house. Since my Unifi Lite baru less than a year, this upgrade sure comes WITH contract.

Then last year my in-laws kena upgrade from VIP10 (RM149) to Unifi 30 for extra 30 bucks (RM 179). WITH contract.

So now I have 3x Unifi 30 packages ranged from RM139, RM159, and RM179 respectively...

Why TM so inconsistent one...?

Hi.. i need some opinions. Currently subscribed to 50MBps plan (free upgrade from 30Mbps Campaign). Paying 212 +/- including gst before this. If i'm not mistaken it comes with ANEKA Pack Hypptv subscription. Can i change to latest promo without extending contract? latest promo have hypptv ultimate pack.

I didn't read fully all the discussion behind but I think someone may have mentioned on the reduced pricing for 30MBPS (179 --> 139) and also 50MBPS?

I signed up for 30MBPS @ 179 sometime late last year (around Oct/Nov), and very soon after that the 139 promo came out. I tried unsuccessfully to get the new pricing.

Understand now the latest Raya promo is also essentially the same thing, and I tried and failed again to get the new lower pricing. This time around I have requested for an escalation with report number, but I doubt anything will happen.

Anyone successful so far in getting the new price while under contract? Any tips on how to do it?

guys, i received call from unifi last monday and agree to upgrade my current plan to 30mbps. they told me they will send me an email regarding to restart my modem for the new plan, but until today i still havent receive my email yet. should i call to their cs?

Anyone knows how unifi port availability works? My house will undergo renovation for half a year and i'm planning to terminate the current plan since no one will be using the internet for the time period. But afraid that half a year later when i resub they tell me takda port.

I thought this RM139 plan is only valid for 24 months and price will go back to RM199? If you can check your Unifi portal account details, does it show perpetual discount?

I wonder if they have relaxed the terms or this means there is price adjustments coming.

Agreed. Majority of Unifi and Streamyx customers are choosing the cheapest package (10Mbps/1Mbps).
Our ex-Govt spent (and still spending till 2019 for HSBB2) too much on building fibre networks especially FTTP (Too many FTTP ports). Too ambitious but it should be due to other reasons.
Should spend less to build FTTC and on "FTTH-on-demand" (FTTH users paying for infra).
It will take some time to digest the FTTP investments.

I think also maintenance issue and a bit routing issue,cause i had reported to twitch before i found out my every night speed drop problem.When the time is not maintenance speed is full for me and twitch also smooth smooth 1080p60fps. Last few weeks,sometime the twitch will distribute the San Jose stream server for us to view live stream,but sometime getting SG server, most of the time SG server better than SJO,but when stupid TM having issue to connect SG server,then others server will better than SG.
Really la...Their technician call me and told that maintenance need at least one more week to fix..WTF...I so angry about them,i dont understand why when them didn't doing repairing work can reach full speed and not big issue for any connection,but when maintenance start in about 8.15pm and in my case recover in about 11.30pm(i think tm start in 8pm night until 2am or more),the speed slowing drop to only 15-20mbps and the main strange point is Netflix still can run in HD without buffering....My friend also got speed drop issue not stay in my area with different timeframe(start in 11pm and recover in 1-2am).
Seriously i think they can lower the impact about their maintenance,but i really don't know why they like no brain,just cut off less network for fixing,then issue will be smaller lo...
Everyone still need that bandwidth to do their own thing,but stupid TM just keep doing bullshit thing and still charging for expensive fee for bullshit network...
From last few years,TM having routing issue or network congest to many country'server. Every time report to TM,they will just say not their problem,and when use a vpn to connect those server,issue gone...
I submit few times of traceroute to them,stupid TM just told me to find the server provider or service provider(like Facebook or Twitch) to fix it.
So even FB got servers in malaysia sometime also can get high ping to them...

Early 2018 or end of 2017 ,some one I know was lucky enough to get a flash deal from TM through
Pusat Internet 1Malaysia (PI1M),4MB download speed (384kbps upload)for rm84(new signup) ..its not cheap..as the upload speed is only 384kbps...but comparing with a lot who pay RM100 for 2MB...cukur sdh..bcoz unifi other providers  is not available..I don't think TM will lower price for package over 10mb..its not fair that most streamyx user didn't get any benefits from double the speed or half the price policy..

Got call from Maxis on changing over to their broadband:
* 30 Mbps
* RM139/month
* free Iflix
* free domestic calls to all lines
Now on Unifi 50 Mbps RM199.

Like to have feedback from those who have changed to Maxis or those who are already using Maxis. Good and bad points.

CS at another TMPOINTS in JB allowed me to cancel Ruby and reduced price from rm159 to rm139 without any penalty. Will confirm in the next bill on 16July. Hopefully price reduced by rm30. Thanks.

dont know how good is the other side of the maxis fence, thus asking here. their offer is not very attractive, maybe wait for the unifi announcement on the coming change due to the new govt.

Finally found a temporary solution for stupid TM speed drop issue.
Setup a shadowsocks service on singapore vps with having ipv4 and ipv6.
And connect shadowsocks with ipv6,and disable ipv4(dont want disable also can).
Then set system or browser proxy link with shadowsocks,
Download Speed will come back about 75-90%,but upload speed not well only 40%(but enough for normal usage,since normal ppl does not use more than 3-5mbps upload speed. And upload speed didn't having issue with tm ipv4,so if need so much upload speed then just dont use shadowsocks lo.)
And the only worse point is latency get high,but since if want play game then dont need so high speed,then use tm ipv4 also enough la.
With shadowsocks,system will use ipv6 transmit and go through vps's network ipv6 and convert to ipv4 and exchange data get back to our system.
