How can one safely spoil the HyppTV box and make it look like a natural death? Been wanting to replace the very first gen HyppTV decoder to the latest one.

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Apr 23 2018, 04:34 PM) Put it in a microwave for 5 ~ 10 seconds That will kill the electronics inside without leaving any signs of physical damage externally *Do this at your own risk, I am NOT responsible for any accidents / damages that might occur QUOTE(XPS @ Apr 23 2018, 06:17 PM) Thanks for the ideas!QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Apr 23 2018, 11:34 PM) if you buddy with the technician, he might just changed it for you without any issues. Don’t mind if he refuse to change but now there’s also a RM50 fee to pay, so better to have the device confirmed dead.i did mine that way, so now i got a spare hypptv box. |

QUOTE(lkoky @ Apr 30 2018, 05:00 PM) Gyus, Basically some of your options are:my HyppTV setop box broken, with my current contract expireing in 2019. Whats my option now? Dont really watch hypp TV, but used the box for normal Free-toAir, NTV7 & 8tv, cause my antenna sucks 1) If still under warranty then call them and get it replaced. 2) If no longer under warranty, you can choose to get it replaced for free with a further contract extension. 3) Get a used unit, you can search around for it on lelong or mudah. |

QUOTE(MGM @ Apr 30 2018, 08:22 PM) 3) Get a used unit, you can search around for it on lelong or mudah. Isn't the STB 'tied' to a particular account? Can call to TM to ask them to update it.QUOTE(JohnLai @ Apr 30 2018, 08:27 PM) Wait.....shouldn't TM replace the decoder free of charge as hypptv was bundled with internet package as long as customer still subscribed to the service? The only equipment that is lifetime warranty is the BTU. All others are only 1 year warranty.Similar to Astro subscribers. This post has been edited by OKLY: Apr 30 2018, 08:39 PM |

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ May 18 2018, 01:59 PM) Nothing else. TM pretty much locked it down. It can connect to the wireless and change the settings according to your TV, so 720p or 1080p 50Hz or 60Hz, but that's about it. How did you get it changed by the way? I thought they won't issue new unless rosak? QUOTE(iXora.ix @ May 18 2018, 02:18 PM) So how did you lodge to tm to request the new android model? Mine still using the 1st gen huawei stb. still working fine but ugleyy I was experiencing random reboots it but no way to reproduce the problem as it is random. So I just tell the technician that came to also consider that my decoder is very old already together with this random problem that I’m experiencing. |

My Unifi 100mbps account transferred owner recently, the discount was not given, instead of RM189 it now became RM389.
Update 1: TM said when account transfer owner, any special promo discount won’t be carried over. Anyone experienced this before? However I was told by TMpoint that I will be paying exactly the same amount. Update 2: Dropped by TMpoint, was asked to fill up a complaint form. They said from their side, they can only give up to RM150 discount, so to get the full RM200 discount they will need to refer back to their HQ. Was all the special promo discount transferred/retained as well?Update 1: TM said when account transfer owner, any special promo discount won’t be carried over. Anyone experienced this before? QUOTE(hurricane21 @ May 21 2018, 05:17 PM) My June bill is charged with GST from 19/05 to 18/06, but after 1st June GST will become 0% so can I request them to adjust the GST until 30th May or later they will do the adjustment itself or worse case they still charge the GST? No it is not by the period you are billed for. It is the date of the invoice instead. Only invoice issued and dated 1st June onwards will have GST at 0%.Thanks. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 21 2018, 08:11 PM) No, I haven't transferred yet. I’ll let them investigate first as I’m hearing different stories from different CS representative. If they insist the discount won’t be carried over then I guess have to make another report to MCMC already. I asked CS before, everything will be transferred including my contract period. |

Honestly, after being used to the broadband prices in Malaysia, I don’t mind if they do not pressure the providers to offer cheaper and faster plans.
What I hope that they can do is to remove any monopoly in the industry. When this is done, prices will come down eventually as a result of the providers being more competitive. |

QUOTE(97fangkhai97 @ May 26 2018, 01:52 AM) Hi guys! My parents are paying for the Unifi 10 Mbps since the launching time ( which is ages ago) . Now my entire family is complaining that the speed is slow and everything. Sometimes cant even speedtest. I suggested that it is due to the old router (which we never change before since installation) . Is router the problem of the slow internet? or modem ? Are they paying old price? If paying old price, suggest to terminate and reapply, you’ll enjoy better price and all new equipments. |

QUOTE(herojack41 @ May 26 2018, 06:37 PM) Bad idea. Which is why I asked, if still paying RM199 for 10mbps, better take up a new offer instead, definitely plenty of “promo” plans by TM throughout the year. All he need is refresh his contract by upgrading to 30mbps package. After speed upgrade straight make a complaint about slow speed. TM will j just com and change all the equipment for free |

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 22 2018, 02:57 PM) After many weeks are follow up, finally the discount amount is correct. However the duration for promo discount is still wrong, they have given me 24 months when it should be perpetual.Problem is nobody seems to understand the issue, most of the CS says discount is correct already. I wonder should I continue to make complaint or let it be, since like most know another promo offer is likely to come within 2 years. |

Hopefully the existing Pro plan subscribers will get a bump in speed at no additional cost, or at least, realign all current 100mbps users to the new plan to reflect lower monthly fee.

QUOTE(smileguy @ Jul 5 2018, 11:36 AM) Unifi came over to get my thumb print for new installation,RM139@30mbps with Varnam Pack.I was informed that its RM139 for 2 yrs,but speed of all accounts before 31st Dec 2108 will be upgraded accordingly in 2019. He also mentioned that 30mbps for below RM100 coming soon will be capped at 60GB. So looks like if you opt for cheaper packs you will not get unlimited It would still be fine if the user exceeds 60GB of usage, speed to be throttled at 10mbps. After all this cheaper plan are targeted for lower income bracket and also light users. |
