There is both wireless (which was already available much earlier) and fibre (recently announced), both at RM79 monthly with 60GB quota. Wireless no guarantee in speed as subject to location and signal strength while fibre is at 30mbps.

Lol thats why i was wondering if that will be offered to streamyx users in non unifi areas.

Hard not to notice it. Last time when I subscribe to VIP5, it was staring at me in the face. Then ppl not happy then TM say quota not implemented until further notice.

Once you go over 1Gbps, it's a big headache.

How to tell customers that you need some really canggih $$$ equipment to get that speed?

Maybe TIME will do a single plan RM149 for 1Gbps. Yay!
*
Be like sg, offer two 1gbps plans, one with better qos and routing, the other just "best effort"

Wasn't this will confuse the average consumer even more?  I highly doubt the average consumer even knows what QoS and routing is sweat.gif

To make it easier to understand they usually refer to it as "gamer plan" or "pro plan" lol

The Singtel Aztech FG7009 is quite the powerhouse but there seems to be a dearth of Aztech routers in Malaysia. Difficult to find. Don't even know why they have an office here. Maybe they concentrate more on enterprise stuff.

Fg7008/9 is also a rarity in sg, most were given the 'arcadyan ac1900' router which isnt as good and extremely locked down...

Maybe tm should oem from them hahaa... screw tplink and dlink

Unifi basic is finally available today for preorder!
At least in the faq tm considers changing from unifi basic to unifi lite as 'upgrade' lol. No shit.
Even have faq such as 'we do not recommend changing from 179 unifi advance plan to 79 unifi basic because not unlimited' wow
No mention of the exact speed throttled to in faq or tnc tho..

From the 3rd column, the wordings imply that broadband (streamyx) customers will get a speed upgrade this year while still remaining as pre-unifi (still streamyx). Those new subscribers of streamyx will get speed upgrade next year (still streamyx). But all just speculation anyway haha

Actually unifi basic not bad for new user, cos can 'upgrade' to unifi lite at any time. If unifi basic just doesnt suit their usage then upgrade lol.. (rm129 gg 100mbps)

But even now tm still nothing on the throttled speed... they say for now not offering any data topup --> does that mean wont enforce quota?? Then if enforce quota, will throttled speed by 128kbps or 3mbps? Since streamyx lite rm38 throttle to 128kbps -> unifi basic throttle to 3×128=3mbps??

But in real world downloading can only get those speeds with multithreading, which means torrent, and u still need time to connect to seeds, upload to peers, download speed warmup etc... it is usually everything other than the 800mbps that makes it slower
