I already paid llaollao with WeChat Pay and got my RM 5 discount rightaway.

One reminder though, for e.g. your bill is RM 10 and even if you know after discount is RM 5, your balance needs to have at least RM 10 and not RM 5. The transaction will not go through if it is lesser than the original amount.

Second thing, make sure you reload enough before paying. Else if you only reload on the spot, you will need to wait for TAC to arrive to key in before reloading. Not sure about other banks but Maybank yes.

Enjoy your purchases. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Jason @ Sep 25 2018, 02:23 PM)
Thanks for the tip. Personally I prefer having to use TAC. Feel it’s more secure for me. Maybe they can make an option available for us to choose whether to have TAC or not. Like how Quick Pay can disable PIN for small purchases. I will disable the Quick Pay PIN when they have more merchants and I use it more frequent.

Other wallets feels like they can take my money anytime they like after I put my card details in. At least I know WeChat won’t.
*
I think the TAC is added by banks. I'm not too sure. tongue.gif
My China friend who stood next to me told me for China wallet, it is not needed, just 6 digit PIN and it will deduct from balance or card. I cannot validate because in China, I only use balance as my friend will transfer money to my wallet as I cannot link any China card. I just need to key in PIN and all went through (Malaysia is also the same if you have sufficient balance).

Hi Everyone.

May i know how do I recharge RMB to my wechat wallet? I wish purchase something online from china and the seller accepts wechat money packet but he only wants RMB

I am based in Malaysia and i have malaysian credit & debit cards
*
Get agent to do that or you may try this website: https://theswapsy.com/?reference=TCC180614
Convert Paypal to WeChat Pay/Alipay.

I have not tried the link before, mine is transferred by my China friends.

You cannot do yourself if you do not have China cards.

Today LlaoLlao has Wednesday discount of how many %?
Can get this rm5 discount on the discounted item?
*
Today is 11%, whether can use or not, I'm not sure but I don't see why it's not.
However, you will need to spend minimum 10 for WeChat Pay deal, so you will need to calculate well for this part.

They use the "Wednesday" of the month and not week of the month.

WeChat Pay is something new to me (not a WeChat user). Just wondering if this WeChat Pay e-wallet (connecting using local card) can be used in China as well? Is it the same?
*
No, cannot use in China. For China, you will need China wallet.

Damn mafan.. How do we bridge this problem if we do not hold a China bank card? Say I am heading to Shanghai next month and I do not have WeChat Pay... Get a friend in China to credit to my wallet?
*
If you have China wallet, yes, then can ask your friend to transfer to you. If no, no luck for you.

I have both MY and CN wallet, so my friend will transfer RMB to me whenever I go China.

Damn lame.. I know Tencent does have global ambitions for WeChat so I'd imagine they will start supporting international credit cards eventually (soon), but as it stands today they don’t work. And I can only imagine myself going Shanghai next month pulling out cash like a dolt.

Bro,

I think you just need to verify your real name in China wallet. Before I was trying to get it to top up using my Malaysian credit card thus I went and verify everything that was displayed under wallet setting. Even sending a photo of my Malaysian IC. I don't get this message when I pop up quick pay for China wallet.
*
I didn't do anything to it because I cannot verify my identity yet I don't get this message. I already got my China wallet for years nevertheless.
These days, I heard if without China bank card and phone no., it cannot pass through. Not too sure though.

I heard it's actually harder to register a mobile number than to open a China bank account with passport. Is it still the case? They said you need a China friend to do it for you aka using it under his name.
*
I used to have my own China Unicom no. which registered under my name and this was back in 2013. My friend forgot to help me to pay and it has gone forever a year later. bangwall.gif I registered in a proper telco centre (like our Digi, Celcom centre) in Beijing. Smaller cities? Forget about it, they won't entertain you at all.

These days I don't visit Beijing as much as I used to because I have no more work related with China, I only go to China for vacation and usually go to the smaller cities/provinces, they cannot help me to register and if I use my friend's details, it will be captured under her record (something like our CCRIS). So, I discarded the idea and use data roaming instead, thank God Digi gives me free data roaming of 5GB every bill cycle. laugh.gif

Since wechat now accept hlb debit card, feel like trying again to add and see if it will accept.
*
Even if you can add the card into China wallet, you can't reload at all. It's basically useless.

QUOTE(Ben Ling @ Sep 26 2018, 08:59 PM)
Is it possible to use Llaollao Boost or Digi voucher and pay the left amount with wechat pay ?
*
No, you can't. The discount will only be reflected if you pay with WeChat Pay.

QR code? How?
Quick Pay? It said pay to merchant only.
*
It is the same QR code people can use to add you.
Me > You will see your profile pic and ID on top > My QR Code or
Me > Next to your profile pic and ID you will see a QR code logo

That's how you obtain your QR code.

I know about the QR code for me or my friend.
What I asked is beside using Money Packet method to send money among friends, is there other way/menu like Boost (Send Money)?
*
Sorry, my apologies. I mixed up the QR code. tongue.gif There is a QR code to receive money actually but unfortunately, I just checked out only China Wallet can receive money via QR code.
Somehow MY wallet doesn't have this function. So only Red Packet for now.

Really hate WeChat UI. For the second time, it took me so long to figure out how to send red packet.
Honestly our local e-wallet transfer makes more sense, where you select transfer first before choosing the contacts.
*
Hmm. No comment because I'm used to the UI. laugh.gif
