QUOTE(bofuri1234 @ Mar 29 2022, 02:23 PM) The amount of second hand GPU from miners hitting the market after eth merge will be hilarious. Can see on r/ethermining that the smart ones already started to liquidate their GPUs to frontrun others before shit hits the fan. Absolutely no miner dare to buy GPU anymore despite the drastic price reduction, that's why easily find them in stock. still have 1 and half years left around that until transition to proof of stake

QUOTE(Eoma @ Sep 20 2022, 10:46 AM) not too bad. assuming 4070 = 3090 rumors are true, then new MSRP = USD599 = RM2.8k. Come MY become RM3K. So old RTX 3090 stock= 2.5K ? (or RM3K la). RTX 3080 TI 12GB = RM2-2.5K ? hmm no, 3090 still have more VRAM and nvlink

no wonder got news 4060 would be as fast or slower than 3070 series. because 4070 gonna be slower now too since the real 4070 became 4080 12gb...

Official Nvidia Malaysia's base MSRP:
4080 12GB rm4730 4080 16GB rm6300 4090 24GB rm8400
custom cards add some more high end 4090 customs probably add rm1k+
If there's no early stock scalping by the shops
how did "4070" die card have this price gg, $899 vs $499 rtx3070 before, even rtx3080 launched at $699 and it's little performance cut vs 3090

QUOTE(ipohps3 @ Sep 21 2022, 11:42 AM) this generation will have quite big performance difference between 90 and 80 as 80 is based on the ad103 vs 90 on the ad102 which has much more cores and larger memory bus. 30 series uses same ga102 die for 90 and 80 series. but i do prefer that the 4080 prices should be much lower as it is based on a smaller die than the 90. yupp the 4080 12gb should really be 4070 or 4070ti and it's proper 70 series prices, and 4080 16GB should be priced way lower, 4090 is just so much better than that.

QUOTE(Voopoo @ Sep 21 2022, 12:03 PM) such a big jump in pricing for 4080, do you think its better to buy 3080 for value for money card compared to purchasing 4080? main purpose of the card is for 3d rendering. dependa on how much you are willing to pay. And can't conclude until see the reviews and benchmarks oh for 3d rendering, ampere is really good at this, but no idea about lovelace, but seeing 4090 has 80teraflops... should be a monster as well. Even then 4080 has big flops too This post has been edited by terradrive: Sep 21 2022, 12:28 PM

QUOTE(bonez_xy @ Sep 21 2022, 10:18 PM) the mid tier card will be on next year. dont want to wait anymore now looking for 3070/3070ti with the best price i can get for tuf/gaming trio model. QUOTE(Benefon @ Sep 22 2022, 08:11 AM) Get 3080 10gb instead. No point to look at 3070 or Ti , 8gb vram not enough for recent games true, either pick 3060ti or 3080. cheapest on the shop i saw 3060ti around 1900, 3080 limited promo 2888 but again next AAA games will break 8GB VRAM limit when more PS5 ported games comes in the future

QUOTE(hirota @ Nov 29 2022, 01:46 PM) Let me try first if the sound softer than blower type card, last time I used the giga RTX 2080 turbo blower card, that one I cannot tahan too loud. if too loud just do undervolt. Will still be faster than rtx3080 10GB even at lower clocks

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Dec 7 2022, 08:48 AM) https://www.techspot.com/news/96837-scalper...e-msrp-but.htmlScalpers are struggling to sell the RTX 4080 above MSRP, but retailers won't let them return the cards Our collective hearts are breaking for the poor scalpers but sadly it probably also means they successfully scalped rtx4090 before the rtx4080

sien my AX860 broke, no time to wait for ATX3.0 psu and ended up buying HX1200, luckily it's priced nicely at the computer shop @rm1k
so hard to install on my smaller sized ATX casing because the cables all oversized and rigid capacitor section near the end of every plug

for me the biggest issue wity 4070ti is the VRAM size only 12GB for rm4k+ gpu
once more crossplatform games built for PS5 comes out, we'll see more games breaking the 12GB VRAM limit, since DLSS will eat more VRAM too. Even currently few games broke over 12GB VRAM for me on 1440p
and last time launch 2399 can enjoy 3070 already...

QUOTE(realityyffr @ Jan 5 2023, 12:37 PM) Biggest issue is the price lol. In terms of value seems it’s only the 4090 so far that’s worth it. Sucks it will only be accessible to only politicians children and businessman in Malaysia lol what to do, first time 70 series cards had the price of 80tis in the past, so currently most people had to go for cheaper 3000 series like 3060,3060ti etc which by itself is still nice cards for 1080p hopefully 5000 series have cheaper cards, else I'll just keep my 3090 and let it run as the new 5060 class performance kek This post has been edited by terradrive: Jan 5 2023, 12:45 PM

QUOTE(antaras @ Jan 6 2023, 09:50 AM) Colorful GeForce RTX 4070TI NB EX-V - SRP RM 3959.00 iGame GeForce RTX 4070TI Vulcan OC-V - SRP RM 4959.00 Is the Vulcan cooler worth that RM1k extra? Or the Battle Axe cooler is 1k worst? I don't really understand these kinda pricing. gila 5k for 4070ti, add 1k more can get cheaper 4080 models which is way better
