To be fair, both Intel and AMD has their own subset of issues. Don't talk until like Intel is a golden goose, as if they're all divine and can do no wrong. Intel has plenty of bs too.
AMD ain't all that amazing either, overhyped these days of course because they came from the brink of bankruptcy to be able to fight Intel again. That's commendable, but it doesn't mean they're invulnerable to issues.

The whole Ryzen is an unstable piece of engineering mess is also overblown. Just like how Sky, Comet, Rocket Lakes are all as hot as nuclear plants are all overblown topics.

As usual, people like to talk shit about products that are on the hype train, then likes to praise products that are the underdog. Years ago, everyone talks shit about Intel too then now suddenly everyone hopes and wants them to take back their throne with Alder Lake. Everyone is a hypocrite is my point because neither camps are perfect.

Huh? I had the i5 10400F with 3080 and it's much much faster than my 3600,3700x and matching 5600x in gaming fps. You need to do some memory tuning i guess to increase the bandwidth and reduce latency.

Unlimited power limit, crank up the cache, fast and tight memory.. most importantly get a dual rank kit.

Unfortunately latest 2 drivers causing flicker at top half of screen for majority of VRR (software gsync) monitors though.

Well if one get hold of a cheap 2080 back in 2019 and now you need double amount of money to get the 'similar performance newer cards', then no harm to watercool the old part right. Unless we are talking previous time where flag ship like 3080 only about 2-3k.
