AT BEST the 4060TI is a 3070 like card at 1080p.

AT WORST it performs wayyy under the 3060TI, especially at 4K.

One brutal example is Far Cry 6 Ultra at 4K, where the 3060TI has a massive 79% lead compared to the 4060TI (52 FPS vs 29 FPS).

Yes, you heard that right, this card cannot even BEAT its predecessor in ALL situations, the moment you go higher than 1080p it tanks hard, thanks to the shit 128bit bus which cannot be adequately covered by the increased L2 Cache at higher resolutions.

Imagine if I told you that the 4090 loses to the 3090 in any single game, y'all would think what a shitty successor it is.

What a joke of a card, deserves all the trash awards.

Perfect. It's evidently clear that every product released thus far (except for the 4090) is actually 1 tier lower than it should be based on die size and % of CUDA cores compared to Ampere.

The x90/TITAN class has always been synonymous with retarded pricing due to its halo status, and for what it represents, it was never meant to be affordable or reasonably priced for the masses. We do not expect NVIDIA to be charitable with this class of card.

For a 60-70% performance uplift over the 3090 for only 100 USD more, it is the only card of the 40 series to show any significant uplift over the previous generation for that minimal increase in price.

Yes, the melted connectors are a big problem, but it was proven that the majority of reported cases are from user error in properly putting in the 12 pin cable as GN reported in their huge video about it.

The big problem is that every card below it meant for the masses has either crap uplift (4070) or even negative price to performance uplift (in the case of the 4080).

No choice during that time my old AMD GPU dead

Whenever turn on pc, use awhile then power off itself
Tried plug hdmi/displayport to motherboard, no issue

But now having another issue, sometimes using desktop awhile the screen will goes black for few seconds then no more issue

Don't think is monitor issue as I also using it whenever play Nintendo Switch or PS4

TLDR, time for me to buy new rig, no idea is PSU, motherboard, etc ... or what issue
Want budget then go for console

Thank you for your input. Was nearly tempted by DLSS3, but its memory bandwidth size is a major turn off for me. And yeah, VRAM size is still stuck at 8GB, what a joke from Nvidia.

I will buy RTX 3060 Ti instead. 

nvidia fan,  just get the 4060 ti  , will be adequate for ur resolution.
don't be swayed by others views , after all it's u who are gonna use the gpu
u will get the benefit of a newer architecture and lower power consumption

I can stretch my budget a little bit to get RTX 4070 too, as long as my 650W PSU can support it.

But, I feel that might be an overkill for 1080p gaming, as I want to keep my 34" LG monitor (max resolution 2560 x 1080, max refresh rate 144 Hz )

I saw RTX 3060Ti for RM15xx, and RTX 4060Ti for RM2,0xx at PC Image. But this photo is even more tempting, coz not everyday you will see this species priced below RM2,700 

  so is it worth it to upgrade RTX 3070 Ti to RTX 4070 Ti OC now      just because want to get 12GB VRam

Just took the plunge yesterday and got the RTX 4070. This card is a real beast, albeit I'm not getting its full potential at the moment due to CPU bottlenecking issue. Will upgrade my CPU by the end of this year. Or should I wait for Intel 14th gen? Hopefully this card will serve me well for another 5 years, just like my GTX 1070 and before that, GTX 670.

p/s : I have a strong affinity for number 7, as Cantona and Beckham are my favorite players, their iconic number 7 sealed that GPU purchase decision.. just kidding 

Should perform like 4080 in the worse case scenario.
