Just read Modern Warfare benchmark test, looks like I'll be aiming 2070 Super or 2080 if cheap, can run 4K60

This PSU already 8 years old. Do you think i can use for another 2 years?
*
Possibly still ok, I have power supply surviving that long, change only because cant support more expensive GPU ( those 8+6 pin ).

Price better be good.. if it's 2080ti pricing, most would definitely not buy again. They think consumers are that stupid laugh.gif

Still hoping for a GTX version without the RTX crap.
*
IMO wont be same, might even be high. Inflation.
Also, no competitor at high end, no reason to lower price sad.gif

Smaller , quieter ?
*
Usually bigger diameter fans are quieter, as it can spin slower ( lower RPM ) to achieve same amount of air flow.

The  cheaper price sacrifice alot of performance or make the card have higher tempt?
*
I've been using 'cheap' brand ( palit/zotac ) and usually cheaper model, so far no issue on performance or quality. Not sure long term, as usually upgrade graphic card 2-3 years ( hopefully )

*
Hahaha. If got high budget to get 2080 range, maybe get a cheap one tahan first biggrin.gif then wait 3xxx series or 2xxx drop price.

Hi Guys,

newly upgrade to gigabyte RTX2070S gaming oc
i got problem with the game auto shutdown including the pc also shutdown
list of game

NFS Heat
PES20
SOT
COD

any advice

pc specs
R7 3700x+aorus liquid cooler
B550 aorus master
16gb aorus 3200mhx
PSU CM MWE 750w 80+ gold
win10 2004
*
Just my two guesses.

1. Try lower RAM speed, let's say 2666, just to test out. I dont believe 3rd gen Ryzen still have this issue, but early gen ( mine 1st gen ) have really bad memory compatibility, the 3200 kit I have, cant even stable at 2933 sad.gif

2. Power. 750W 80+ gold should be no issue at all to power it, just afraid faulty now, or power cable ?

BTW, did you overclock anything ? Just return stock and test.

I'm most interested in Ray Tracing performance. There could be further DLSS update too. Price - - some say Nvidia will not price it higher than 20-series, kinda doubtful.
*
Yeah, I'm interested at ray tracing, as more games adopt it, and probably more optimized now.

I hope they dont increase price over 3xxx series, hopes they listen to fans, where RTX are just too expensive.

My take is DO NOT buy them on release date.

Give it a month or 2 for early adopters to face problems, not just the hardware but also the drivers.

Q4 we're seeing new processors from AMD coming in so maybe you really should hold off.

Or should you need something to get by, buy a B550 board and Ryzen 3 3100 (or Ryzen 3 3300X if you can find).

Or if you prefer Intel path ........ a used Z390 board and older gen processor? Z490 boards are costly at present and even i5 processors on stock doesn't push framerates too well, I can't find any i5-10600K either.
*
Looking forward to that Zen 3, been longing to upgrade from 1st gen Ryzen biggrin.gif
Aiming for 3070 upgrade from 1070 ti as well.

These upgrade will burn big hole in wallet sweat.gif

ok lets brain storm.. y nvidia did this. what happen to milkin da ppl. why da milkin stopped.
monitors are still expensive as ever...

da answer is AMD
lets see in gaming world
who is leading in cpu and gen 4 pcie .. AMD
who provides consoles both camp.. AMD

ampere.. based on cuda could have had a gpu=2080ti at 1xx watt. and they can milk dat. cha-ching

but then somebody said.. lets do 2x.. 8k cuda monster.. at half da price..and spend 1 year redesigning power delivery/cooling etc..

so even if amd upsize their plans.. they be Fed trying to do r&d on power delivery/cooling etc..

but just incase amd pull it off with aib help.. we leave gaps for a ti model FTW.

nvidia definitely threaten by amd. and they should be.
*
Yeah, and I would guess it's affected by incoming launch of next-gen console too.

Actually this cheaper brand such as palit gainward galax, their card ok or not? or their card most of the time cannot last more than 3 years?
*
I use Palit before, now Galax, I think no issue for long term, no OC.

I think 3060 or 3050 range should be more mass market product as most people still on 1080P monitor ( according to Steam survey )

With the performance improvement, I think 3070 are more than enough for 1440P which I'm on ?

Yeah, that's what most people are saying - 1440p = 3070. Still gotta wait for benchmarks to know for sure though. I'm on 1440p but I still want 3080 since I don't think 3070 can hit 100+ fps since my monitor is 144hz.
*
I'm on 100Hz, so I guess 3070 are more than enough, although mine are more like 1440p ultrawide, pixel count wise between 1440P and 4K, should be fine as long able to maintain 70fps++
Current 1070ti will dip to 40fps in Battlefield V sad.gif

Haha i still wanna kill for 3080 on 1080p display with 60hz laugh.gif laugh.gif

Hahaha, that will future proofing enough for many years biggrin.gif

Zotac just throw another massive price reduction for rtx 2080ti

Pricing actually quite tempting, as nVidia claimed 3070 it's on par or beating 2080ti, but we expect 3070 to be at least rm2.3k.
2080ti got advantages of larger vram hmm.gif
