Cooler is gigantic so no problem with temp. Power limit is poor at 260w/300w standard reference board design. Barely any brand with custom board design for now.
Ya, 1070ti I think nVidia restricted AIO all must use stock speed, so need OC mode for value added

I got mine mhw. Although i purchased few days before the promotion start, but they gave me too the code.
Rule can bend a bit one Cant recall which already, but I used to have similar experience, bought previous graphic card one week earlier, but I submit and put date of purchase after free game promo start
I am noob in the fps things but gtx 1070ti suppose to can max all setting on 1440p 60hz monitor right? My free mhw only getting 45ish fps when playing in max settings, despite slight oced.
From my memory, it cant I think 1080 hover around 40-50 at max setting, but I remember seeing article about how to tweak MHW graphic setting.
I'm also use X34, almost 2 years already with Gigabyte 970 4GB + 1080p 27" monitor + 1200p Oculus Rift. Most games still can run full resolution 60+fps with a mix high/medium on setting
i've just test play free Destiny 2 games..this one still can achieve 70fps on high setting..i plan might get the RTX 2070 next year to replace 3 years old 970

Upgrade 1070ti first I just bought during yesterday's Shopee electronic day with rm100 discount. Maybe 11.11 should have bigger discount
Galax i have no info yet .. LOL Probably i might get the 1070ti as i think it is sufficient enough for the current gaming system .. The price jump its around 33% for the 15% difference
1070ti if you get Zotac mini it's rm16xx only, and now running promotion that give away Monster Hunter World for free.
I just upgraded to 1070ti before 11.11 Galax rm19xx after coupon discount etc, rm1857 @ Shopee, should had waited as 11.11 I saw it dropped to rm17xx before any coupon
Haha, sure. I dont really follow Malaysia pricing anymore but for my RTX 2070, i got it during 11.11 for around 650 SGD which around RM 1.7k. Never thought of buying this card as planning to get 1070ti or 1080 but suddenly saw this deal which cheaper than both 1070ti and 1080 so straight away grab.
If can buy RTX2070 at that price, I also would go for it, since non-RayTracing performance similar, but RTX card can use DLSS.
FYI, Gsync ultimate will cost a bomb to get... Typical example is Acer X27 predator monitor. It's priced at 9999rm or the Asus PG27UQ (11166rm @ c-zone)... Ouch!!!
Crazy, the current G-sync 34" monitor only rm4k+, 27" need more than double
Tauke, it's gsync ultimate(1000knits HDR brightness, quantum dots back lit, 144hz IPS (not VA) & 4k display)). Not those affordable 4k display which is using VA panel. BTW, it's the cheapest gsync ultimate, wait until you meet those BFGD(big fucking expensive gaming display!? XD). With that kind of pricing range which u can buy a car in bolehland.
if its workable... and the result is same/about same.. then actually ray tracing no need rt core.
Thou I dont have result or proof, but I really doubt s/w based ray tracing will have same or even near the performance of GPU with dedicated ray tracing core. Then again RTX2060 even with dedicated RT core have serious impact with ray tracing enable, I doubt the usefulness of it on GTX card Gonna stick to my 1070ti until 2nd gen RTX ?
^ What he said. Besides there's no other cards with RT cores so Nvidia can get away with the overprice. But until ray tracing is properly implemented, these cards will get the heat. Remember when Vega 56 and 64 came out with the crazy prices too with the HBM gimmick ?
Btw this a Ray Tracing demo from the 1997 game Quake II. So far the best DXR implementation I have seen.
Impressive demo Gonna wait 2nd or 3rd gen ray tracing GPU one that can run 4K60
dude theres nothing about dat game that even suggest any fantastic gameplay... just put keanu.. everybody forgot they didnt see shit
whole e3 was crap and WD legion .. concept looks good.. but as we know what we see now is not what we get. da ubisoft way
Well Keanu Reeves not the reason I'm interested over Cyberpunk 2077, but rather after seeing some gameplay clips in youtube. The world setup ( neon light, futuristic cyber etc ) should looks good with ray tracing Doesnt means I'll pre-order thou, always make sure game released with little bug.
Upgraded my monitor recently to X34P, playing PUBG 2560x1080p only getting around 80-95fps with GTX970. Is it good time for an upgrade?
As I don't play PUBG, so not sure if you really need higher frame rate ? I'm perfectly fine with 70+FPS on COD/battlefield. Didn't play CSgo which I think benefit from highest frame rate possible.
You might consider upgrade just so you can run at native 3440x1440 resolution.
I actually bought it, comes with COD Modern Warfare key as well which is worth RM250. Pretty worth it in my opinion. Was planning to purchase the COD game.
Ah, tempting to upgrade. Finally a game I'm interested at using ray tracing.
I bought mainly for the SP, but that's just me. Some of the multiplayer mode are fun, but TDM is just not my cup of tea. And I don't think it is the best game to showcase RT, I'm blown by the graphics without any RT.
The graphics in MP looks notably worse, so I'm back to setting everything a notch lower after finishing SP to get higher fps in MP.
Guess I'll just wait price promo then only buy. Test it against my current 1070ti, maybe by that time GTX 3xxx announce already
