I find it odd that the Ti will be released alongside the other models... it is so unlike Nvidia, since they prefer to release Ti months later. Wonder what's that about...

Perhaps 2019 = refresh/rebrand of Turing is a possibility since they will already "have it all out of the door" come 20th August.

Also the big question is how will Ray Tracing benefit games in the nearest future - - I can see Metro Exodus having Ray Tracing as a patch etc., not sure about other games. Hope Jen-Hsun announces some upcoming titles that will support Ray Tracing.

Lastly, there are leaks that point to the GTX 2060 = performing to GTX 1080 levels. If that's the case, we might be in for a nice performance leap.

Do you guys think RTX 2080 will be overkill for 144hz 2560 x 1440 max settings AAA games?

Will gaming performance drop when the tensor cores are being used for calculations? I haven't googled myself but I'm guessing there will be a performance impact. Time to buy that second 2080ti and make Nvidia happy 

Realistically I'd buy a used 1080ti and save even more than being an early adopter of the 2080, I don't plan to go 4k yet since I can't afford the monitor I want, 1440p for the time being. Wait 1 year when the 2090 and 2090ti are announced, then only upgrade.

DLSS = performance boost in game or double the fps.
Only RTX 2080 can do DLSS or double performance ?

In long run , rtx 2080 is better but now,  no games support RT , less game with DLSS or even a few.DLSS more for FPS games.
But what happen if DLSS + RT together ? will it perform at 4k with stable 60pfs ?

I though the cost of manufacturing and research for CPU and GPU technology should not very far so the price will also not far.

Last time when new GPU out, it will price at last generation price while earlier generation will drop certain% of price but now when new generation come out, it markup even more price while earlier generation only drop abit. If this going on, after a few generation, I think it may jack up to RM10000 for 1 new GPU.

Read there are some mix results, some will decrease because they will better sell out more on asia country than shipping to us where taxes is highest among all.

Just received Zotac RTX 2080ti AMP. Some pictures and preliminary bench result.
Tested on secondary PC with brely OC i7 6700K (4.2Ghz). Will test main PC with i7 8700K (4.8Ghz) later. Gfx score seems ok but only hovering around 1900Mhz.

Until then, I can't be bothered. I can't tell the difference between RTX ON/OFF for the 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider' demos    Do a blind test and I will fail.

Need more 'reflective' games like Remedy's title.

Still have to remember, game devs put priority for non-ray traced / rasterized first before ray traing so without RTX you are not going to 'lose anything' gameplay wise.

Let's be clear here, ray tracing isn't a gimmick. Aren't you a photographer? You should know how important lighting is.

Ray tracing is a future for 3D graphics the world is heading to. But it needs a stepping stone and yes, unfortunate as it sounds - people have to be suckers to adopt the first generation of consumer GPUs in order to push the industry forward. It's just a pill that the industry has to swallow, that's all.

Everyone can talk shit about the prices, about how self centered in what nvidia has to give you and all that bigot nonsense, but at the end of the day - ray tracing for the masses need to start somewhere.

I got zotac amp. Poor overclocker..barely able to sustain 2050mhz, mostly around 1980mhz.
I think 7k are probably si lottery and water block. Might also be flashed with 380 power limit bios from Galax.
