Upcoming Ryzen, no longer able to use the word "cheap" on them anymore. But still reasonable price range in view of the performance, the best if you already on AM4 platform now wink.gif

It's not really that bad ler. AMD just charge slightly more for their efforts. Am looking forward to it next month to pop a new chip right into .

Yeah, that's my take. Components should be well matched. A lot of fellas here bang in one just one or two items and ignore the rest of the set-up.

Especially the casing and a 300+ watt GPU. Our climate is hot and humid unless it's in a AC room. The heat generated will affect other components as well. It's a raining season now, so it's not too bad but when during hot season......yeah without AC, get what I meant..
if things are cramped into a small chassis.

@Icecoolz93, take heed here and above. and save up for a decent Cpu and mobo, Ram + casing + pay attention to cooling needs.

btw you basically slap face all those dude who cannot get even norm tuf ...with better build.. ready for a 3080.. tapi u went all da way with strix

thats y i am like LOL. only in MY.
*
Precisely the point. A lot of us will feel that way. Only in MY, ppl do that. Throwing in Strix into a pathetic build and got the Nerve to post it up, implying '"I have Strix here in a teeny build"
but I don't have the budget for other items.
Malaysian mentality.

Remember guys, virtue comes to those who has patience.

They're just GPUs, don't need to get so worked up over it.

I became calm after I knew i won't be able to get one soon. So I wanna get the 20GB in the future
*
1st round being offered TUF 3080 OC , pass the offer cos shop insisted on system bundling
2nd round, offered a Inno3D Ichill , also pass the offer, not convinced with Inno3D , fancy cooling solution but who knows what's inside it.

And I am still waiting for the right card I really wanted, not in a hurry really.
So now my attention on Zen 3 and Big Navi.

Anyone use colorful brand here? Any review for 3080 colorful? Seem didn't have many review in YouTube.. One shop offer me for 3499. But prefer Zotac or Asus.  Asus now give 3+1 year warranty right
My Zotac 1070 amp extreme still work well but I will buy house soon so need upgrade this year. After buy house sure hard wanna upgrade anymore.
*
Colorful has a nice range of cards. If you can get the Vulcan version with LCD display, it will b Great.

I will take Colorful rather than Inno3d, Z trinity or galax sg anytime.

Imagine how embarrassing it is to have to tell friends you have a colorful brand gpu. I simply cannot go for it. Seems like I will be waiting for this Asus restock until next year at this rate.
*
That's because you/ur frens do not know Colorful quite well. they have been making components for a long time.
Some of their designs are very interesting and unique.

also about that.  on colorful..manli chiwawa  chee cheong fan. even if they make gpu 50 years. doesnt mean a thing bro. only reason they are in this game because of mining.
*
I just want to highlight to some ppl that there's more in the market than the usual brands in MY. There's nothing to be embarrassed on them.

Speaking of those products review by reviewers, not many are of acceptable quality. Some are more like Clowns than a tech enthusiastic. Just be impartial when reading their conclusion.

I feel like an idiot for selling my 1080ti. I haven't game in 2 and a half months. Nvidia have made me quit gaming with this botched launch.

Dreamt of 4K gaming. Ended up quitting gaming.

Oof

Same like me

Next gen gpu, if want to upgrade , just buy "good enough" gpu as placeholder
*
It pays to have a back-up GPU on standby.

Don't have to be too desperate. Big Navi is next week.
Got offers for lesser 3080 cards ( no bundle) but I turned them down. Until I find the card I wanted.

After seeing VRAM usage from Crysis Remastered and Horizon Zero Dawn, 8-10GB looks like not enough for 2021 onwards.
*
If performance gap between Big N and Ampere not much, I will go for Big N instead with it's 16 Gb. Save all the hassle of waiting on Ampere. I bet likely it's not 320 - 340 W like Ampere .

Guys,

Looks like lots of ppl never really pay attention to their Psu & power requirements when building rigs.
You gotta plan for future use and requirements as well as for now.
The bigger the PSU the more well prepared are against future power hungry hardware like the 3080 & 3090
Anyone thinking of buying a new PSU for high end hardware should consider getting 850 as a bare minimum, preferably 1kw or 1.2 kw unit for future upgrades
There is no such thing as wasted just because the current rig is pulling less than the Psu capacity. Also it runs cooler the lesser the power load.

Ventus has water blocks available if youre going to loop.

It's entry level MSI, so can expect the usual thermals and acoustics at that price point.
*
That ventus uses the older fans found in previous generation. It's hard to clean as well. Nothing spectacular.

My findings, hardly heard people complain they are overpriced, don't shoot me if you not agree :lol2:

Asus RTX3080 Tuf (RM3360) - But people claimed Asus M'sia won't bring in anymore, future could be OC variant which is RM3700++
Zotac RTX 3080 Trinity (RM3439) - But people said they used lousy components hence overall performance are lower compared with others, the OC variant just RM3499 as oppose with other Big brands which charged few hundred more for their OC variant
Igame Colorful (a.k.a Seven Rainbow in China  laugh.gif ) RTX 3080 Ultra OC - Their entry level OC variant just RM3299 but people said this is lousy brand, friends will laugh if you show off this in your PC  :lol2:

Of course there are many pursuing for nice looking such as Asus Strix, Aorus Extreme, MSI Trio X etc, to them there is no such word overprice or price performance ratio
*
Entry level models are priced 3k+. Some are good and some are mediocre. Premium models at 4k++.
Asus happens to have a reasonable good model this time.
Not a fan of zotac having tried their graphics card.
And the silliest thing I come across is ppl will laugh if you use certain brand of card. That shows how immature ppl really are. Really dumbo thinking.
If overpriced, I would say it's those premium models above 4k. If they are willing to pay for exclusivity, let them lor. Their money mar. Anything about 3k++ still considered ok.

Passed out on a Ventus card earlier this week. Looks bland and similar to earlier turing card design.
those fan blades are not easy to clean.

Big N specs leaking out, looks promising.....
