What ppl forget. They are not early just early adopters. Half of them are ex 2080ti users who bought the 3080.
They will buy all da variants until they get what they are looking for. Alot of ppl have two rigs also.

Cons
Competition of the variants still the same as day 1 rtx 3k series launch

Pros
There gonna be some garage sale.
*
Yeah, I own 2 rigs. I have another one in Aus. Usually cards are not wasted. The older one will be ported to a lesser rig or used as a spare card or "recycled" in the forum. Just the Malaysian mentality of wasted lar, water 🐟 lar, or whatever it's termed.

Those cards with double the RAM are not cheap. 3090 is a good example. Mr Huang know s how to milk the market and the 3090 comes with a super premium price tag.

If there's no stock for 3080/3090, don't have to be so desperate for it yah. Sooner or later, every potential buyer will get to own one.
What's more , even better AIB models coming soon, Strix, Aorus , Lightning, Hof etc...etc..
You don't need a 3080/3090 to live/survive day-to-day.
Just let it be, stress free.

G-Sync COMPATIBLE stuff is not the same as the real G-Sync (with
nvidia hardware build into the display).

Don't get too over excited about it.

yea, im getting the a 1000W PSU....
*
Yeah, a good reminder for everyone not to skimp on components.
What's da use if you bought a 3090 and skimp on the power supply ? It's like throwing a 3950x into a cheapo B450.
Doesn't really matter if you buy a quality 1.2 kw psu right now, it can be used Years down the road.

Patient. I'm waiting too.

Nvidia is the main issue. Not enough chips.
*
Mentioned earlier to everyone not to get too DeSpeRate over this.
We will eventually own one.
It's nice and good to be patient.
No worries...

got to say Asus's TUF design makes more sense this time compared to other AIBs
giving those vrams that are exceeding 100 celcius their own heatsink fins
Using MLCC as to POSCAPs because of the frequencies
attaching a solid nickle plate to the tubes to even the heat spread from the die
and most importantly, the price doesn't even sound like the Asus we know
*
Don't say it sooner, dat Strix version might not be priced normally as the TUF.
that means it carries the usual Asus premium

As a previous owner of G603, dont get this mouse, it has the common omron switch problem, aka premature death and the outer shell is very thin which make left and right click very loud,
Get G604 instead, more buttons to customize like the old G602.

Off topic, but just want to share since it's mentioned above.
Gone fully wireless now, bought G613 and G604.
Both are awesome, but you lose those Fancy rgb since both are battery powered by AA batteries. Do not have to bother recharging them. G913, yes it's nice but overpriced ( you can buy 2 g613 and 1 G 604) Also needs recharging.
price between g603 & 604 is very slim. But 604 is bigger mouse. Might not appeal to some. But you get your money's worth.

no its caps

nvidia solved it via driver

igor did a test with all the cards.. zotac failed
then he wondered y
so he looked at the back and saw zotac not using mlcc
so he desoldered one cap and did a mlcc mod
it worked fine.

latest driver.. boost clock sustain higher without throttling ( now i might WC this)
but.. hmm in vermintide 2 where i was getting 3xx-400fps in one area i am now getting 288...

so...

malu nvidia capped the performance but made ppl see only boost clock higher.
*
One clue on other sites where ppl state they experienced their card run cooler with the new driver. This already suggest the card is running slower and drawing less power. Only Nvidia tweaked the driver to show higher boost, so consumers don't see it as a performance downgrade. Or I should say like throwing sands into ppl eyes .

A reliable PSU can be used for very long time, my Corsair AX1200i already 5years still strong, my current setup most only pull about 500watt, doesn't really stress on the PSU, moreover when i bought that time quite cheap.
*
I have been using mine for 6 years and have not worried abt psu ever since. At that time, things was cheaper cos it RM3.20 - RM 3.40 to the dollar. Dat 4770k/4790k only 1.1 to 1.2k if I m not mistaken.

Again there's no such thing as bigger PSU being wasted. Just grab a 1kw/1.2kw QUALITY PSU and be worried free years down the road. Period.

If ppl can spend 4k - 8k on a gpu, they shouldn't be skimping on the PSU. Unless of course they are Cheapskate . Yes, those fellas buying high cpu/gpu and cheapo out on other things.

asus msia bring in both normal and oc?
*
Both versions are available locally at the shops.
Saw that oc version but it has to b bundled initially due to limited stock

Don't really see what's all the fuss and frustrations all abt.
If 3080/3090 cards difficult to get, then just leave it alone
Until supply normalized. Hey, I m still using Turing GPU.

Raiding other people's garage sales thread is uncalled for. If you disagree then just don't buy.

This is a free market, people can price however they like. Second hand sellers are not bound to some invisible rule saying they can't price above SRP. Common sense guys, supply and demand must be taken into account.

All these raiding and trolling is why Garage Sales in so many sections are getting more and more irrelevant in an age of Shopee and Lazada.
*
Ah, if this can be turned into a consumers activism, it will be great start. Consumers rights in Malaysia is often ignore d n virtually non existent. That's lead to over pricing of products or deliberate confused price to fleece consumers. In Aus, supermarkets will display xxxx price per 100 grams (in addition to their price per pack) be it meat or biscuits or fruits or vegetable, etc.
Overpriced of your products, or lousy services; shame on you xxxx company. Malaysian consumers should Wake up !!!

I can afford it. I won't pay more than double the price for additional 10-15% performance.

I did rather pay for 3080 Strix or Master/Xtreme or Lightning rather than the dumbo priced 3090

Things getting scandalous in MSI lately. CEO dead few months back after "falling" off building.
Engaging in dubious business practice now.

Look at the big navi preview, hinting that it's somewhere between 2080ti and 3080.
