Dell after sales warranty is top notch.
If you want to upgrade the warranty I suggest go for In-Home hardware service.
*
Honestly I don’t know much about their warranty, just selected 4 years in-home warranty. It’s not too overpriced la, acceptable price range la.

the Alienware you feel the price is cheap , because of the discount code 15 % , what said the code expired suddenly ?
*
They do offer from time to time.

Here you go, for your reference. Price you see is discounted Rm1000, I put in voucher code MY15OFF to make it total discount of Rm1600+- Worth getting ah, mine included 4 years in-home warranty.

hmm both pc shops at my place is quite honest, but needed bundle of course. from what i had asked them, rtx3060: 2650-2800, rtx3070: ~3800, rtx3080: below 5k. Of course those 3080 kena rebut very fast.
*
If bundling full pc set then can get gpu at near msrp seems fair to me. Better than buying from scalper. At least it’s a full set pc lol.

The internals are using rather standard atx parts already. If im not mistaken, So can just transplant it into standard atx case.

For the gpu, you can do deshroud mod like what i did to my zotac 3080 by strapping 3x 80mm/92mm fans with zipties.

Normally deshroud mod you can get away with voiding the warranty.
*
Just what I had in mind haha. Get a Z590 and snap them into a normal case. Voila, you have a normal pc with normal temp etc hehe.

Wait my warranty end first then I'll put some mods there.
Right now RTX 3080 hitting 50-60% of GPU usage for Ultra settings on my games.
*
If you feel comfortable with your usage, it’s okay man. You can always opt to swap that 3.5HDD for second intake fan.

This is what I am and going to do. Purchased 6 noctua 120mm fans, the ugly brown ones haha. Going to swap the original intake fan, going to swap the HDD to intake fan as stated above. To setup sandwich fan rad with the new fans. Oh ya, re-apply thermal paste. As far as i know, original thermal paste is simply applied.

I know I know, it’s troublesome, somehow. Just to retain that warranty by not moving into something else. At least above method will greatly improve thermal performance. And just in case for warranty purpose, just swap the originals back.

For gamers, they will work fine. For those looking to hit certain numbers on benchmarks, pre-built won’t even cross their minds.

I wouldn't look at Dell if not because of the outrageous graphic card price. Really regret didn't get one at 3.5k previously.
*
Yea, of course. But then it’s not really a setback for you as well, isn’t it? Haha. Look at the bright side, at least you have a 3080 while most of the people don’t or can’t afford 1 right now.

My friend bought 3080 at msrp. Tonight he’s gonna sell it at 9.3k and then buy R12 11900kf 3080. Essentially he gets the 11900kf for free lol. Haven’t counted value of his remaining rig. Even with the R12 thermal throttling or whatsoever reason, it worths every penny.

I am not a dealer. My thought is everyone in the supply chain wants a cut. So yeah i guess its normal they hike it everytime. Thinking of 3070 or 3080. I just don;t like 3080 as i read it's hot and i am not familiar to take it apart to add pads.
*
Bro, hot is subjective. If you just game, it will be fine at around 70ish. And if you undervolt it, depending on how low it is, you can get 60ish.

Don’t worry, it’s not hot. Haha. Just get it.

So I’ve jumped on the selling my 3080 for a ridiculous price bandwagon but hear me out. I’m only selling it to resellers/speculators/those with clear scalping history for the highest price I can get. The rest, especially those querying me for a 3080 for their own personal rig, I redirect to the dell page (they can figure it out themselves).

Tell me I’m not a bad person? cry.gif
*
There is no right or wrong. You’re willing to sell, people are willing to buy. It’s just business.

My friend already sold his 3080, placed an order 1 unit of R12. Another friend of mine can only stand aside and envy lo hahaha. He’s so regret that he didn’t listen to me buying 3080.

zack.gap selling cards for high price - no problem  , no one can blame

reseller selling cards for high price -  scalpers, report to KPDNKK , reseller bodoh

Please mark your words clean. I don’t hold my grudge to resellers at all. Selling at high price or must full set bundle purchase. It’s a free market. Sellers open offer to trade, it’s up to you whether you accept it or not. It’s that simple.

Since replying to you. Being having good relationship with resellers or pc shops topic. It’s a rather subjective advice. I, personally don’t think that’s gonna help the forumers here a lot.

Plus, since it’s just word here. We don’t know you’re being sarcastic or kind. If it’s a kind intention, we thank you. If it’s being sarcastic, no point.

The warranty is mostly for the gpu only. It's unknown how long ddr6x ram can last with such heat problem. It's okla. After discount less than rm100 per year warranty. Where to find. I see people buy extended warranty so much more expensive.

Honestly the xps is pretty good price with 3060 ti. But the motherboard not using standard atx 24 pin. Warranty also 2 years only. Usually I use pc for long time one. My house still have lga775 pc. smile.gif. So having this dell for 5 years sounds good for me already.

I want to save money from u. I ask u give me price u also never reply. So have to get dell before stock runs out.
*
Just get whatever is available. For warranty, it’s like insurance hahaha.

Yup, it’s the market. Demand vs supply. People open shop to earn money ma. Tak kan open shop do charity ma.

Even they have a ton of mobo they ain't selling it cheap. Instead some sell more expensive citing chip shortage, pc in demand. So whatever reason it is, they are just taking advantage to maximize profit.
*
Sorry ah, not to upset you. It’s just a matter of different perspective. Some view it as taking advantage, some view it as opportunity. Haha. No offence ya but it’s true fact hehe. We have the choice not to buy de ma.

Good to hear that. Pay attention to your order. After placing the order, there’s a stage where Dell needs to confirm your order.

And Dell will charge your card upon they shipped out your item. Just knew this after Google search.

They charge right away after placing order. Charge when shipping is only in USA.

My case. The first payment was only for authorisation. I think around day 3, the pending amount in my credit card was gone, my credit limit was replenished back.

After my checking, it will charge again upon shipment is out.

Pattern ma. Mine will arrive on 15 Apr. Gonna exchange all fans to noctua and repaste thermal paste with grizzly. Also to undervolt the gpu. Then I’ll update my experience with it here ya.

So r12 owners who got their pc for days and weeks have no issue so far with 3080 vrams temperature?

Latest video shows can just put paste to reduce vram temperature.

This video tutorial is legit. Process is easy, only 1 screwdriver can settle all screws. Reducing vram temp seems to be reducing gpu core a little. Worth doing.

He will need new board, psu, case and custom cooler for better performance.

The alienware psu 24pin is kinda special, not compatible with normal boards. This is my finding through out the net.

Please correct me if I’m wrong ya.

I do have plan to move those parts to another case. My initial plan below lol.
Msi z590 a pro
Nzxt c850
Noctua d15 (to match my existing case h510)
