I had to reduce to 100% resolution scale 150%  for some reason certain part of map with a lot of foliage and reflection going on the game went to slideshow

Guess which one is RTX on and RTX off . Who would cared about it being on when playing on multiplayer , you will get shot instantly when admiring the scenes  bye.gif

WTF?!! For real? 😰😱😩

From over 100fps to just 30fps?

There's a Hardware Unboxed video now - apparently upto 3x performance hit with RTX on.

yup... apparently the hit is real and huge .

Buying $1200 usd card playing on 1080p resolution . What joke is this ?  At least 1440p I still can accept it .
Now waiting for DLSS to come on FFXV and ray tracing on Shadow of tomb raider.

Without ray tracing 2080ti is a great card by all means but I just expect more....
*
The chances of me even thinking of upgrading to 20 series just diminished. 😁

I think first gen/series of RTX will have the 'hardest' performance hit. It might ease with DLSS, but 4k seems out of the question. 1080p and 1440p for single 2080/2080Ti.

I think things will be much more improved with second gen/series. By that time (maybe early 2020?) we would have gotten a lot more RTX/DLSS supported titles plus Devs would be better at implementing it and the GPU would be even more powerful.

I understand the immense complexity of Ray Tracing and doing that in real time is a remarkable feat to be had in the hands of consumers BUT it's still early days at the moment. I'll happily stick with my 1080 Ti.

Comparison vids are starting to show up:

I guess the wait for price drop paid off for me. Paid for absurd price and get shitty performance with Ultra.

RIP RTX 20-Series.

Early adopters would suffer the most... unless of course if they don't mind the performance dip.

Apparently Nvidia recommends DXR "Low" due to 'bug' if set higher laugh.gif

Wow... all the benchies are much appreciated! biggrin.gif Very interesting indeed.

Looks like the RTX 2080 Ti can hardly sustain 60fps at 1080p with RTX ON. ohmy.gif

Makes me wonder why they even put RTX on a 2080/2070. Maybe with future patches/optimizations (DLSS too?) this will improve performance, but at the moment, oh boy...

Yup today i just went to Lowyat mall to have a look on the latest price as the website is not updated

Zotac : GTX 1070ti 8GB AMP = RM1.9k
Zotac : RTX 2070    8GB AMP = RM 2.7k

Galax i have no info yet .. LOL
Probably i might get the 1070ti as i think it is sufficient enough for the current gaming system ..
The price jump its around 33% for the 15% difference
*
I would sincerely recommend holding onto 10-series for now instead of jumping into 20-series, unless of course you got the cash for a 2080 Ti and you need to get your RTX fix with a 'decent' performance.

2070/2080 price/performance ratio over 10-series is simply not worth it.

The used market for 10-series is mighty popular right now... if you're ok with used of course. Top up to around ~ RM2.4 and you can get the mighty 1080 Ti but if you're interested in the 1070 Ti then that's fine too.

Just wondering if they will ever make a GTX again... with half the price, like normal..
Not going to buy an RTX ever if the price stays the same, kinda too much for something useless.

BFV - Reflections
Shadow of the Tomb Raider - Shadows

Both I can live without RTX.

But... Ray Traced Global Illumination might interesting.

Just need a killer title that does reflections, shadows and RTGI biggrin.gif

For now yes... its just... "insignificant".

If new one, that price is too good to be true, and consider yourself lucky! biggrin.gif

Even used RTX 2080, I've seen like ~ RM2900.

Can't find the link on Shopee or the store anymore.

Edit: Maybe it's this one: https://shopee.com.my/galax.os

They push RTX2060 first to earn those people that cannot wait.
After that GTX1160 will come out. For mid range really no point to get RTX, better get GTX1160 with cheaper price and good performance. RTX2060 not worth the price for this performance and technology for mid range.
*
The idea for a 'mid-range' RTX GPU is to use RTX = RT On + DLSS.

If RT on its own, the frame rate would not be pretty, in Jen-Hsun's own words.

RTX 2060 can essentially be compared to the 1070 Ti.

At the moment, RTX is still at its infancy and only now support for DLSS is coming to BFV.

No update for Ray Trace Shadows on 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider' after so many months laugh.gif

If upgrading from a 1060 -> 2060 would be a good purchase for future proofing.

I doubt the existence of a non-RTX 11-series GPU... maybe for mobile. No way will Nvidia hinder the sales of its RTX GPUs.

Attendees applauded when $349 was shown biggrin.gif

Funny thing is... we still only have Battlefield V as the retail game with RTX.

I kinda like that bump in performance with DLSS though...

$699 for essentially a 1080 Ti GPU from AMD.

Good for AMD GPU consumers, finally able to enter the 4K foray albeit may not be 60fps.

AMD literally showed 'easy' games like DMC5 (running over 100fps at 4K) and Forza Horizon 4 for Ryzen. laugh.gif

My expectation for a 2080 Ti contender from AMD was probably too much I guess.

Lmao wut? If 1660Ti = "20%" faster than 1060 6GB, then 1660 = 1060?

Then why sell a 1660? This is truly retarded levels of speculation.
*
Don't trust the rumor mill / leaks. If really true there's a 11-series, I will be amazed.

I doubt for a second Jen-Hsun (or rather Nvidia) would jeopardize the 10-series or 20-series that is going relatively 'strong' right now.

smells like a scam...what do you guys think?

GTX1080Ti

High chances it is a scam.

If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

And the seller has absolutely zero feedback/review and no other products.

2080Ti + 3440x1440 user here.
In battlefield V, whenever i turn on the DLSS, the texture seems blurry, the image quality is degraded  doh.gif . In Port Royal Benchmark or even FF15 its even better.

How about you guys?
Already updated the graphic driver to the latest one 418.91
*
Apparently it's the same for 'Metro Exodus'

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Perform...o_Exodus/5.html

The DLSS implementation for BFV/Metro isn't quite there yet.

To put it bluntly, perhaps 'Deep Learning' need more time? laugh.gif I dunno, but now it's just a blurry mess.

I guess DLSS is meant to be used simultaneously with RTX to make it look pretty and popping? Anyone who can test it with either Metro Exodus or BF5?

You can check this out:

Without a side-by-side comparison it might be difficult to see the softening/blur due to DLSS.

Even with DLSS, the fps can dip to the low 40s, but for most part relatively smooth.

Haha... the dislike is real. laugh.gif

Instead of using DLSS, why not just scale down the resolution.

Similar performance + image clarity retained. whistling.gif

JayzTwoCents so-called "Nvidia fanboy" also gave his take:

WTF.... Need to enable DXR then only can use DLSS in BF?? rclxub.gif

RTX 2060/2070 can only use DXR for 1080p.

Lol 1660 Ti 😂

11 series? Nah .. we'll just go 16.

Weird time to be an Nvidia gamer.

Best review thus far, includes explanation to the naming.

RM1800 for a 2080 Ti (obviously fake)

https://shopee.com.my/MSI-GeForce-RTX-2080-...6030.1935070495

Decided to kepoh a bit. Why so low I asked, "It's promo" he said.

Said I'm interested but COD only. Seller said "ok". Then straight ask to whatsapp.

Later in whatsapp ask me to put in advanced payment even though I insisted on COD. doh.gif

Until now no reply.

If it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Seller name also semacam "VerifiedSeller" laugh.gif
