The Division’s second birthday is finally here! We have been hard at work since the launch of the game and have some news to share with our community. Yes, there is a Division 2 that is currently under development by Massive! The supporting studios that continue to make The Division possible - Red Storm, Reflections, Annecy - will also play roles in The Division 2’s development. More information will be revealed at E3 this year, and we cannot wait to show the world what we have in store!

This does not mean that work on The Division 1 is coming to a halt. We are going to continue supporting the game as players look forward to the following timeline of content:

April - Update 1.8.1, which includes the Xbox One X patch and the implementation of Classified drop rate changes discussed on a previous State of the Game. We are also introducing two new Legendary modes alongside a new Global Event: Blackout.
May - New Global Event: Onslaught.
June - Update 1.8.2, which will introduce two more Legendary mission modes and bring back Global Event: Outbreak. This update also marks the beginning of the brand new Shields monthly feature, in which achievements earned playing The Division will grant special rewards in The Division 2.
July - Global Event: Assault, with the continuation of Shields.
August - Global Event: Strike, with the continuation of Shields.
September - Global Event: Ambush, with the continuation of Shields.
It has been quite the journey so far, and we are just getting started. A huge thank you to our community for the support over the years. Here is to the future of The Division!

Wait when did the last time you guys played the game?
Division 1 current state is perfect imo right now, it took them 3 years to get there but they actuallly manage to get it done. This is for PvE, PvP unfortunately still has some cheaters running around.

So what we should be wishing is, please dont suck at launch like Division 1

the first one is actually a great game now. They messed up the launch but recent updates have made it a great game. On sale now too, so more people will be grabbing it. If Divison 2 is an improvement on the CURRENT divison 1, then it'll be amazing.

but do u know how many players quit the game after the first week of the Division one lunch? and player come back after they fixed in still less then people go play FF14 online ?

Bounties are the new and improved iteration of the High Value Target system that was available in The Division. At their core, bounties put a price on the heads of enemy bosses to reward Agents for eliminating hostile threats to the city. Washington, D.C. is anything but safe, and it is the responsibility of Division Agents to keep these ringleaders off the streets.

Projects

Projects take the Assignments system from The Division and rework them into a feature that emphasizes the dynamic nature of the open world. Earned early on in the leveling experience, Projects are calls-to-action by Settlement Leaders and the Division Coordinator as you explore D.C. The settlements have needs and goals they cannot meet without your help, and they will definitely make it worth your while!

Oh no. We wont able to buy Division 2 after 15 March from third party stores. After that date, you need to buy at Ubisoft's store or Epic Games store.

We announced an unscheduled maintenance yesterday and the planned patch is now nearly ready to be deployed, it includes the following bug fixes:

Fixed an issue where players could be stuck in the wrong World Tier if they completed Strongholds without meeting the required Gear Score while in a group
Fixed an issue where players wouldn’t be able to talk to agent Kelso at the Castle Settlement
Fixed an issue where players could obtain multiple Ivory Keys from the same source

On top of that we’re hoping to include the following fix into that same patch and are confident that we will be able to push it live tonight.

Fixed an exploit that allowed players to loot Supply Drops multiple times

Lastly, we are working very hard to address the crashes that are occurring and seem to be related to the Assault Drone being used while agents are in a group, as well as Skills not working properly and immediately being on a 15 second cooldown.

This means we might apply further patches over the weekend and will need to have unscheduled maintenance during that time. We know that everybody wants to get a lot of playtime in during their days off (and believe us, we too), so we will try to keep the downtimes to a minimum.
