Not sure if this is the place to ask but anyone encountered coupon not being able to be used?

I checked out with the required details entered together with the uplay promo code but my card was rejected. When i tried again, the coupon cannot be used : /

Also... the card in question is a CIMB debit. Anyone used it for international purchase like this ?
