Very misleading about guarantee and warranty. Actually have warranty only. Self incur damage sure vendor won't fix for you.
And most boards are from chinese plastics. thumbup.gif

the orbweaver cost around rm500, and although i never used it myself, i have heard people mentioning about the switches dying also, which shows some quality issue.

There are custom keyboards which supports the thumb cluster but those might not be cheap , such as the ergo dox, iris,

Other than that, there's a few keyboards which supports custom keybind. So if you really needed something similar to orb weaver, why not go full split keyboard? at least you still get to type on it.
*
It's not just about custom keybinds. The Orbweaver has bout 8+ keys for the left thumb, and they are easy to reach unlike Ergodox's thumb keys. And the keys are actually in a straight line like the Ergodox.

But yeah Razer's quality control issues are still around which is why I've never gotten their stuff since more than 10 years now.

Did not manage to try other switches. I like the brown switches, which I am using now in my office. Blue is not for me.

ok. yes it's better to try first-hand the three common types to get the feels of each.

i only have 1x brown and 1x blue. the rest are red.

Hi all, anyone here tried carbon plate + costar stabs for GK64 before? How does it feel compare to the default aluminium plate?

i think it's an individual preference hehe personally i prefer caps with legends at the top.

i have this but i have no time to built it up yet. i will build one with it when my new cases arrive.

for those who are confused, the main reason why stock gk64 uses plate-mount stabs is that gk64 pcb has no holes designated for pcb-mount stabs for left 2u-shift key. it's a minor issue for those who build a gk64 with a custom case + top plate that supports pcb-mount stabs. (screw-in pcb-mount stabs are good stuff; no rattles at all) some reported that the 2u-shift key wobbles more although i don't notice it much. this carbon fiber plate solves the 'problem' since costar stabs are plate-mount, so it provides a proper stab for the 2u-shift key for gk64 with custom cases.

in terms of the carbon fiber plate, it's very light actually. costar stabs are firmly secured on their respective locations.

oh hehe

for blanks it's better to type without looking at the board. it's more useful to me for 60% boards.

optical mechanical keyboard, the new poison. Introducing the HP Omen Sequencer devil.gif

QUOTE
Naturally, the Sequential also features individually backlit RGB keys – the lighting effects can be customised via HP’s Omen Command Center.

The HP Sequential is a pretty interesting gaming keyboard, but it carries a hefty price tag: it’s set to retail from $179.99, which comes up to about RM715  bye.gif . Nonetheless, it’s expected to be available sometime in July 2018.
