.. just swapped to kailh box white. sometimes using these clicky switches are fine also lol

If you are looking to try clicky switches, then I think you should try the Box Navy. I don't have experience with that but it's really hot right now. It's also very heavy and the click bar sound is bitch loud. LOL.

.. actually i'm not into clicky switches; if not i have gotten pale blue, jade, and also navy when they were available hehe however, it's really refreshing to use these once in a long while lol

what i'm waiting for are silent versions from kailh box. i really hope they come out with something like that in future.

i usually get 40 units of switches, because i replace switches for alphas and numbers only. (36 switches in use, 4 as backup; the rest of the keys are usually linear black)

if hako true is similar to cherry mx brown in terms of tactile bumps, it's really a disappointment to tactile users.

yes the 1- and 2u-shift are not mainstream (not many need them)

i have some jtk modifier caps. they are good-quality double-shot thick abs caps (1.5mm. don't bother about key shines; they will shine but are still good looking and are nice to type on. just like maxkey, but with cherry profile) beside their weird alignment issues with legends, they are not bad in terms of typing feels.

edit:

gk64 firmware (1.18) and software updates (5.0.0.22) are now available. both tested ok here. (for gk64 pcb rev. 1 and 2)

the software can work with firmware 1.16 also.

note that the following are the simple steps to update the firmware using the offline firmware updater. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE KEYBOARD FROM YOUR COMPUTER WHEN YOU DO THIS!

you should go for ikbc c87. however it's even better if you can get varmilo va87m. (since you used corsair strafe before, you will notice the obvious differences)

my main choices will always be filco and varmilo. (unless there are options that are not overpriced or better are available) these boards may not be good looking, but functionally they're the top tier prebuilts in terms of overall build qualities.

i have 2x ikbc f87, and i have tested ikbc c104 before. they are all ok. as for ducky, my bad impression since ducky zero still sticks. however, things might have changed, so you should try them out physically first if possible.

the most obvious difference is the smoothness when typing, with very good stabilizer implementations for large keys (modifiers and space bars; no rattles at all)

edit: ok since varmilo tkl is way beyond your budget, i think you should just try out the two and then decide.

difference between ikbc f87 and c87 is fb7 has rgb lighting and the keycaps are doubleshot pbt right? C87 seems like non-doubleshot.
You mean good stabilizer implementations for large keys is ikbc>corsair or vice versa?

c87 is a basic non-led mkb. well, you get what you pay for.

no. for good stabilizer implementation, it's varmilo >> ikbc, corsair.

no, only f87 has double-shot pbt caps. c87's pbt is of a different printing method.

to me they're similar. ikbc is slightly better, but with thick lube, corsair's is ok.

iKBC C87's keycaps are not double-shot. They are laser-etched, but, considering the price of RM229(TKL) and RM249(Full 104 keys), I think it's pretty difficult to find anything else that gives equal value if you don't mind the lack of lighting.

As for Ducky, stay away from the "Zero" series. At the very least get the "One".

qmx silencing clips arrived. fit nicely for my filco tkl. well, it does reduce typing noise, but not really much.

use lubed silent versions of cherry mx switches for best results.
