Card can be synced with the app using NFC, that's what Octopus and Suica are doing if I'm not wrong, even SG's Ezlink has an app that can do that.

I agree with the surcharge thing, but sometimes even when the store accepts it, the cashier will just say "system down".

I've tried few times paying using TnG card in Mynews stores, there was once that the cashier tried to scan my card with the terminal, it didn't work so the cashier keyed in the serial code behind the card into the system instead, and that's exactly what cashiers did when I pay using TnG after that case.

Also, I think TnG is aiming to replace our physical cards with the app, cuz the vending machines that used to have TnG card scanner are taken off. So I guess it's all about QR codes in the future.

The most you can only hope is they will add U Mobile to their list of telcos in the app for phone bill payment, and then you get shake rewards from that.

Paid using Boost at Wendy's Times Square today, cashier took the terminal from the drawer and then login, whole payment process took like 2 minutes.

Looks like an older terminal cuz the cashier required me to scan the code from the terminal screen instead.

Actually, when you open the app, you can just tap the big circle in the middle just for that, it even shows "Tap to see where to shop" at the bottom of the circle.

But the feature is still not that accurate like Favepay.

If NSK can reserve a special counter just for Boost, then there's a chance that the counter can become a "e wallet only" counter in the future I guess.

Btw, I know their website stated that it's only available in Kuchai Lama branch, but has anyone been to other branches like Jalan Peel branch and spotted that they accept Boost by any chance?

I have a feeling that there will be more to come next month, hopefully with more mainstream merchants accepted and also more telcos supported for postpaid bill payment.

Btw, don't think they will extend 50% though, but reduce the discount percentage instead so it won't be limited to only 3 times per merchant.

As far as I know, most Regiustea outlets usually only have the 50% cashback sign instead of "Pay with Boost" sign, doesn't hurt to ask whether if they accept or not, but they really need to sort this out.

Just noticed something in the app, most of the messages in the "Swipe up to check what's new" tab have disappeared.
