As usual, they are not capable to find out if iPhone is supported, but instead they ask me to provide all these details to escalate, by the time they come back to me I won’t be SG anymore.
But I think my assumption is correct, their Carrier setting for iPhone is not updated lol Message from Maxis: Kindly provide us the complete details below for us to escalate a case on this matter Name: Affected Mobile No: Full Description of the Problem: Signal bar (1 to 4 bars): Network Mode (4G/H+/H/3G/E): Issue Since when: Previous Experience: Latest occurrence: Indoor / Outdoor: Date: Time: Location (Full Address): Landmark (School/Malls/Mosque): Latitude/Longitude: Device model: Speedtest results: Contactable number: Other users facing this issue: YES/NO |

If iPhone not working shouldnt it be asked at SG Apple Care instead?
But not a surprise iPhone not working for 5G cause it wont work in Malaysia so no reason to believe it can work in SG during roaming … |

Chat with maxis CS. At first they said current SIM not supported 5G , but after a while they said iPhone and current will work on 5G roaming in SG.
Hmm…. Need more user feedback on this |

Nope, there is something called carrier setting need to be pushed out by carrier, like how they released VoLTE back then. Apple won't do anything on this, not to mention Apple SG But not a surprise iPhone not working for 5G cause it wont work in Malaysia so no reason to believe it can work in SG during roaming … |

Anyone got 5G signal with iPhone on roaming?
Just came back from Singapore and Indonesia, roaming on their 5G network (Telkomsel and Singtel), but I can’t get 5G signal at all. Contacted the customer care and they can’t even give me a clear answer what’s wrong. One say device not supported, one say simcard not supported. If 5G is not ready this is misleading advertisement. |

QUOTE(ExHellSing @ Aug 6 2022, 10:17 AM) Anyone got 5G signal with iPhone on roaming? Yes, Maxis 5G roaming in singapore is misleading advertisement. I been to SG recently and using iphone as well, no matter what i try, unable to see 5G at all. I think it is because apple hasnt activate 5G on maxis, that why we unable to get 5G access in singapore Maxis should stated it clearly on the website, but they failed to do it.
