If you have been with Hotlink Postpaid for more than 6 months, you get double of the data plan. So Hotlink Postpaid better deal if you have no shared line and don't care about device deals.

Hotlink postpaid roaming rates are more expensive than Maxis Postpaid but I also have CD Kuning as secondary line. CD has better roaming rates, regardless prepaid or postpaid. So whenever I roam, I will subscribe to CD roaming plans.

Why pay more than Postpaid 109 if it is already unlimited? Maxis says you’ll get better device deals and higher share-line allocations for supplementary lines.

I am sure CelcomDigi surprised with this move by Maxis. Let's see how they respond. CelcomDigi postpaid plans are crap with speed tier for different plans (although I know they haven't implemented it but have the right to do so whenever they want)

Not required. Can use the same sim. I did this late last year.

I had same experience. I ported out from Hotlink Postpaid and they also asked me to pay an amount before port out and I did. When official bill came, it was overpaid, around RM5 to RM8. I asked Maxis for refund and they said under their T&C, anything less than RM30, there is no refund.

So, I filed a complaint with MCMC online and Maxis immediately refunded me.

If Maxis tells you the same thing, then file a complaint with MCMC online.
