Well, VI these days means nothing... Anyway, just found out that recently there have been a lot of topics talking about this UOB VI.

Don't know why the sudden craze

I know right, especially this card has been available for years.
I thought I was missing out on any special benefits of this card, which is why everyone is getting it.

Anything that can be applied is no status. Card that can never be applied but offered to you by bank because of your assets you have with the bank - that’s status.

For me I couldn’t care less about those. I care about cashback. Give me a gold card with good cashback and I’ll treasure it more than whatever VI, TWE etc….

I am sticking to PM card. Its more than enough. Main perks im using, ride back home.

If UOB VI Metal card, then ok la. But the plastic one, meh.

I like my Wise Gold and UOB One Classic a lot

I got 3 uob cc. Mostly only use 2 of them.
The other one recently got charged sst. Quickly i called CS to cancel it n it disappeared from online banking.
Few days later received the expected retention call, managed to ask for rm50 rebate n AF waiver for all 3 cc.

I saw some posts telling finally they got VI etc. but they probably didn’t notice some VI only require 60k p.a. Anyway, that said even I qualify for Zenith, I didn’t get it because of the AF. Not worth for me or I haven’t studied well this card.

Asked for an annual fee waiver for my UOB ONE card but was told only could waive half, unless do Balance Transfer...

I got charged SST for 1 card rm25 only, she offered to reverse it but I asked for better offer then given rm50.

have you tried? I called UOB and they say it expired on 30 June

that was so close. no leeway to apply on 1st July (today)?
