just got the UOB ONE basic during campaign for 3 year waiver and cashback.

I am interested in the EVOL card (since I *ehem ehem* am eligible now), so there is no actual annual fee and is counted as monthly fee? So just need to make one retail transaction (include online and contactless?) every month then settle already is it?

yes

Where do you guys normally go to apply for UOB card?
Online or at those credit card booth?
Which has more benefits?
*
if you're paranoid (of personal data) or want the card fast and safe, apply direct from uob/website

if you want goodies, go through agents/booths

One of my UOB card got tagged which caused me damaged of over 20k and it was included within the credit card statement. So now my problem is should I pay for it? Why I called up the bank to block my card the officer would say these transactions will be reversed
*
2 separate matters, and dpeneds on how bank treats the "fraud txn". you need to ask bank how is the treatment.

1. fraud txn already posted in your cc statement, which was not flagged earlier (before it got posted). this is card statement cutoff behavior.

2. since txn already posted, bank will trigger chargeback dispute. they will flag the txn for fraud dispute (with the merchant and its acquirer). if either failed to provide proof that the txn is valid/genuine, the txn will be reversed (from your cc account).

Ah means I have to call up the bank again and ask? Because I thought it will auto reverse but saw it was posted as transactions that’s why I ask here first before deciding the next step
*
of course if you already reported it, then wait for the fraud txn to be reversed lo

you call the bank again to find out whether you need to pay for the statement balance or not ... chargeback dispute can last longer than you 1 month statement cycle

some banks need you to pay first, some banks ok to skip it since it's already 'flagged' as fraud

hello...sorry if this sound like a stupid question...just want to confirm...means we see Posting Date in the calendar month right?

For avoidance of doubt, “minimum spend” is defined as the total retail transaction
successfully charged and posted to the Cardmember’s Card account within each calendar
month excluding the below:
a. transactions made on Balance Transfer, Cash Advance, Easi-payment Plan (EPP),
Flexi Credit Plans;
b. refunded, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent retail transactions; and
c. payment of annual card membership fees, interest payments, late payment fees,
charges for cash withdrawals, government service tax and any other form of
service / miscellaneous fees.
d. transactions made via Jompay and FPX.
*
1st sentence already answered you.... "successfully charged and posted"

Thanks for the tip I already called back to uob just now and they already filed dispute on those three transactions that not performed by me for sure so temporarily reversal was granted, 20 over ish k ask me to pay I really pengsan
*
yeah, 20k+ fraud is alarming and worrying if bank need you to pay first.

most times, fraud merchant/acquirer will fail to provide proof that the fraud txn really genuine

Just to share coz some websites claimed Zenith AF is not waivable.
I called UOB and they said they would waive the 1k annual fee. Subsequent annual fee waiver will need a minimum spend of 250k yearly

Hi want to check, is the annual fee for Zenith card can be waived or not? Also, any conditions imposed for waiver?

Thanks. I know about this quite a few years back. Even SST could be waived. Recently called up UOB and they refused to waive cause imposed by Gov BS.

The terms and conditions are changing every now and then, so better check first before applying, so mahuan.
*
SST is govt law. bank cannot waive it. cardholder is paying the sst, bank is just collecting the sst on behalf of the govt. as a token of goodwill or retention, bank give a separate rebate to you.

AF is bank's fee, which is not restricted to any law except to bank's policy and discretion to waive or not.

no need keep checking. ALWAYS call bank. simple to do.

our answer or experience dealing with bank may not be valid or applicable to you.
