For those got UOB ONE and use it at GSC, the 5%/8% cash back is only valid for OTC purchase?
How about from GSC App?

Why would you want to cancel it at the very first place if you can fully utilize?

did a comparison of the old and new T&C :
1) monthly payout will increase from 110K to 120K
2) "top-up transactions" removed from cashback exclusion
3) "financial services transactions" added to cashback exclusion

nothing surprising  yawn.gif
*
(3) example will be BigPay since its MCC is financial service?

(2) example is what? e-Wallet top up?

If you're referring to YOLO, didn't it stated obviously in this thread title?

QUOTE
2) Effective 1st August 2018, UOB YOLO card’s annual fee of RM90.00 will be revised to a monthly fee of RM7.50. The monthly fee of RM7.50 will be waived upon one (1) retail transaction made per calendar month. If there is no retail transaction made for that calendar month, RM7.50 will be charged in the following calendar month.

UOB ONE card, revision coming 1 Jan 2019...

https://www1.uob.com.my/web-resources/perso...ard-tnc-eng.pdf

Weekday Cash Rebate
0.2% (now 2%) Cash Rebate on all spend at GSC ticket counters.
0.2% (now 1%) Cash Rebate on all spends at Aeon Big, Tesco, Cold Storage, Jaya Grocer and Giant.
0.2% (now 1%) Cash Rebate on all payments made to Maxis, Digi and Celcom.

Exclusion for Utilities bills now added JOMpay as example

Removed UOBM 0% 3 Months Overseas Easi-Payment Plan (“Overseas EPP”)
Removed UOBM 0% 3 Months Medical Easi-Payment Plan (“Medical EPP”)

Added few more disclaimers/general T&Cs
*
This sucks but I seldom use the card on weekdays. So won't really affect me.
All the while, utilities never get cash back with this card.
So updated exclusion list won't really matter as well.
Perhaps maybe for the 0.2% others category.

Oh, luckily.. I first though their cashback payout quota reduce.
It's seems like only travel expenses been removed.
Did it still mention need to do at least 1 transaction per month, else will pay monthly fees RM7.50?
It seems like this one card only benefit during on weekend spend only.

The rest of thevday just put in drawer only..
*
ONE card is not really attractive at all.
I only use for it petrol during weekends. LOL

I understand that people are cautious with change of T&C, but why would 'financial services' be anything to do with JomPay/UOB Payonline (bill paying). UOB is a bank, the term financial services relates to finance, not 'spending of money'.
*
It depends on the MCC code right?

MCC 6012 - Financial Institutions – Merchandise and Services:
Reload BigPay Card
Syabas - JomPay <- Or JomPay itself

But that is only relevant if JomPay or BigPay change their MCC?
*
How can a merchant can easily change its MCC as they have registered for it?
Unless they're moving to another payment gateway.

For instance, Shoppee has 2 payment gateway; Cybersource and ipay88

Reported by other users in MCC thread:

That's exactly what I'm saying, both BigPay and JomPay didn't change their MCC.

And previously BigPay cannot get cashback, JomPay can. Proving that UOB YOLO not only based on MCC.
*
I understand your point too!
We never know. Maybe UOB will change their filtering rule with the revised T&C.

Because I cancelled the card.
It's part of their retention package.
