QUOTE(jianwei87 @ Apr 9 2018, 08:26 PM)
Just bought this phone now only reliase there is so many small black dot at the screen. Can send back to service center for replacement?
*
Edit: misunderstood your question. silly me

QUOTE(mafioso @ Apr 9 2018, 08:31 PM)
after 4-5 days now battery life has stabilized

same as nougat

however just certain bugs which were fixed in 8.1 are present in our note 8 now since its running 8.0 instead of 8.1
*
Wonder if Samsung will release a 8.1 firmware. But I think they will wait for android P instead.

this doesnt happen at all when i was on Nougat sad.gif

only on oreo i noticed this, like not only once or twice every once in a awhile

impossible maxis is this bad hmm.gif
abit risky bro, sea water is salt water

and salt water can corrode at a much faster rate since our ports are not covered (unlike xperia devices back then)

its still opened and the metal parts can corrode

note 8 thread become science thread laugh.gif

never happened to my korean oreo note8 before.

and maxis network service tip-top as always.

I have been using auto brightness ever since. Never had any burn in issues. U sure it is caused by the auto brightness feature and not pro-longed SOT?
*
iinm auto-brightness mode can push the max brightness more than the maximum brightness on manual. I'm guessing those affected are people who spend more time outdoors maybe?

With that said, all of my sammy phones since 2012 have auto-brightness always on, never have burn-in issue.

How i be rich when you are paying more? Bro you are rich

My note 8 rm3180 = note 8 + extrend warranty with glass insursnce + free power bank + free wireless charger + delivery to door step + shopback ( if you dont understand then you are rich for paying more)

U paid rm3999 full price with minimum free gifts doesnt that make u rich?

Let see how many electronic device or shopping of 100 items missing = 0

So bro welcome  to 2018
*
All those for rm3180. Damn cheap you bought. I pity those people walk-in pay RM3,999 only get the phone and nothing else.

Yes, I believe that pricing was the pre-order deal by SME. Pretty good if you ask me.
*
It's damn good tbh. My sis bought it for RM3,999 just for the phone.

QUOTE(Theoutspokenguy @ Apr 18 2018, 09:48 AM)
That my point. How can he say is better? Online do come with some risk but who bought online during pre order all got their units and even a few guys got damage also seller replace so 1 bad incident he make the entire online market is fake.

As he is rich he will pay rm3999 but 3180 that alot saving for the same thing both SME set.

Just last month qoo10 i grab the rm488 voucher for s9+  but decided pull plug because note 9 will be a better choice
*
Note series will always be the better choice imo, except that the battery has been shrinking lately due to note7 incident.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 18 2018, 10:08 AM)
Those who doesn't trust online buying , just let them be
I had been buying online - phones, MacBook, tablets etc from even overseas sites past 8 years and 9.9/10 arrived safely. Some from USA, UK, France and Taiwan.  Of course there are cases of lost delivery. This had happened to me twice and I got a new delivery
Just a few cases of missed /delayed delivery shouldn't deter one from buying online
I buy online for convenience as my place has limited choices being a small town.
*
People go for retail store just for the piece of mind I guess. Another good thing is they are supporting local/retail business. Otherwise, for us consumers, there's no reason to not buy online as they always provide better deals most of the time.

QUOTE(zeese @ Apr 20 2018, 09:06 AM)
Hi Guys... Finally... I'm joining this club officially...  rclxm9.gif

An update for my big issues below. I'm thankful to lazada for being responsible. I got my refund yesterday (around 2 days after I made report). The poslaju admit the item is lost in transit. That's why I can get fast refund. Those who took 2 months or more, that's because lazada having hard time to find hard evident on who's responsible which can be seller/courier/buyer.

Anyway, even before I got a refund, I went ahead a purchase another note 8 from senheng for 3899. I already purchased ringke fusion, bad sadly, all reviews says it will not work with tempered glass, because I'm planning to put on whitestone protector on it. It is so wasteful. I had to throw this away later so I can put on whitestone or any similar quality protector. I also purchased a temporary full adhesive screen protector, but it stick in the middle only.. Either left or right side wont stick. Damnn.. this one also not cheap either..

Anway, I havent finished exploring the settings yet... biggrin.gif
*
Thank god that you managed to get back your refund. Hope you enjoy your new note 8. Welcome on board biggrin.gif.

Quite a number of us bought the note 8 online. I just hope that the recent incident wont traumatise you.

Haha.. well said guys.. 2 reasons why I buy in retail store. 1) I cant wait any longer. The stolen phone took around 1 week to be delivered. Waiting is painful. I cant wait any further if continue purchase from online 2) My wife already  bruce.gif  bruce.gif  for taking risk buying expensive stuff online.. Luckily I got the refund quickly. If not, she will  keep bruce.gif everyday.

Anyway, but I'm not 100% traumatized. Just slightly. I will still buy online but next time, I will do unboxing video if I'm getting suspicious..

Thank you for all your support  thumbup.gif

I'd do that too if I were you. Have you updated yours to oreo by the way? A lot of our members here keep complaining this and that about oreo lol.

Guys, mind to ask if anyone here using Samsung Korea original set. How do you make any claim?
*
QUOTE(Xaser_3 @ Apr 20 2018, 12:48 PM)
In regards to your question, the best person who can answer it is mfa682. There are some other forumer's here who are using Korean set but I can't remember their handles.
*
Zeese already gave the best answer that I could think of. Only thing I can't recommend buying Korean set is that you can't use Samsung Pay here in Malaysia (since it's region restricted and the Korean phone can detect that your sim card is not Korean sim). However if you are into rooting your phone (which I dont believe so), Korean set all the way!

but at least RM200 with installation tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

*
Sakurazz now sells a new brand called T-Max. Full glue and uv installation too like hoda for half the price. Got it for my wife s9+ and its good I must say.

How much did you pay for it Bro? How's the sensitivity? Because S9+ doesn't use S-Pen, so could the response be slightly different?
*
can't tell. my s-pen doesn't even respond to my naked S6. same goes for my wife s9+
