china set able to flash to global rom or not?

wondering india rom not compatiable for china set... cause different camera & optimization...china set come with Ai...

Thanks for the help! I went to the store and ask them to install google PLAY dy. According to them the global ROM will be coming soon. Hopefully by then after flashing global ROM will ease the problems.

Now i will still only play around in web browsing and camera only.

China ROM is like that. No PlayStore and china rom have its own apps. by the way you would need to unlock through Mi Unlock for global version.

Seller said they will do the flashing. Will see how it goes.

Proper unlocking bootloader process include 15 days of waiting. I wonder if they can do faster than that. I think it is better to just stay on china rom and install google play on that rom.

And there is no announcement from xiaomi about global rom yet.

Mine i had to wait for 15 days for unlocking. But another owner here had to wait 30 days? Yeah, as you said better just install google play on china rom , much better than receiving ' vendor rom '. Sealed box with China rom the best. At least no chance of tampering.

2GO store .... Hope they keep their promise and give good after sales support. But from the conversation... They are bit cautious when dealing with software and keep saying no full guaranty... Etc. But when time comes, will be able to judge their service.

Initially I was thinking buying from Mr Ali and cheaper by two hundreds+. But of course Mr Ali when come to after sales support is definitely lesser compare to local supplier therefore I decided to buy local. Will see...

If you are worry about warranty then just wait for the local set. If you can't wait then don't bother with the warranty. There are no two ways to this. Fast or warranty. Choose one.

I am actually waiting for local importer set or local official set. Depending on the price and availability. At least with local importer, claiming warranty is easier.

No its not. It has more Chinese crapware and adware. Theres ads even in stock apps.
And I wouldn't consider any China rom secure from a security perspective.

BTW can wait until it's available in local set then buy.
Otherwise just enjoy Chinese ROM.

No. The global rom is much much better. Theres no Chinese crapware or scrolling ads in stocks apps like the file explorer, browser, dialer. Normally the ads app shouldn't not be running in the global version. Some people claim that they are running the global rom and still see ads but they probably have the 'hacked' or distributor rom.

I normally freeze the analytics and ads apps but I think they can be safely deleted as long as the the mi apps are not used.

Who say global rom no ads ?
My mix 2 in explorer still had free ads.
