rm100, cyberjaya. but quality not good as original, easily shattered (similar to those sold in shopee). replaced mine 2 times, still shattered end up bought redmi note 8 for 399 during sale, much more worth it.

i didnt dig the details since i gave it to my kid. well, instead of spending another few hundreds for repairing the rn5 screen, getting a newer phone is better IMO.

Hi all, I've been using this phone for 2 years. So far so good. On the extended storage, I'm a tad bit confused, is the SD card supported till 128gb or 256 gb ?

I read the front page it says supported until 128gb, but some other sites mentioned the phone could support until 256 gb ? I'm trying to get the largest sd card if possible.

Any thoughts ?

Recommended is 128GB, but 256GB should work also.

I'm on my original battery. So far so good. SOT is lower than it used to, of course. But not bad af an old phone with original battery. I think it is obvious that your new battery is not a genuine one.

How much is your SOT? Now I can only get around 5 hours of SOT from fully charge to 15%.. on wifi only will web browsing n youtube.. not sure good or not but last time when i just got my phone the SOT can easily more than 6 hours.. or may be really can't achieve the previous SOT due to updated miui..

my wife still using RN5, and i also still using RN6pro.
still on original battery, check from the accubattery, battery health now around 75% capacify full charge. so as expected since 3years already.

yea, could be the new MIUI , might using more battery than original version that it come with.
another things, is ur apps. some apps might wake up the cpu more often than before. compare with the time when u just bought the phone.
OR ur new replaced battery is not genuine.

how much cost to replace it? i also thinking to do the change.

Its accuracy gets better the longer you use it because it keeps track of charging/discharging and estimates real battery capacity. If your battery life is short then it makes sense that its at 50% health.

I just completely discharged my phone n recharge back to 100%.. it showed around 2.9k mah for my newly changed battery.. can I assume I got non genuine battery since there's quite a difference from original 4k mah?

Probably but give it more time to more accurate. Full discharge/100% charge is hard on the battery, will die faster. Thats why some Samsung models have settings to limit battery charging to around 80% and also for slower battery charging.

As I said before, lithium batteries are stressed at very low charge and highly charge states, so charging to 80% is a compromise to prolong battery life.

Samsung's protect battery setting is set to 85% on the z models.

i think its normal nowdays.my laptop also same. can charge up to 100%( but actually just 80% from designed capacity).
tesla car also same. their software limit just 80% charge unless u want to travel more longer so can charge up to 100%.

old phone, mybe they still dont have this feature yet. i also use accubattery to let me know if its charge to 80% and give me notification on my smart watch, so that i dont overcharge it.
same when i went to sleep, i set the smart plug charger , to turn it off once the battery around 90% full.
i only full charge it when i feel i need to use phone more longer.
