RM699.. feel like expensive well, its urgent purchase. add in tempered glass, notice the tempered glass smaller than the screen cos to avoid edge bubble. |

QUOTE(xperiaVuser @ Dec 1 2018, 05:31 PM) Rear cam same sensor, front cam 20mp. rear i dont think its same. the MP might be same but the sensor diff size.RN6pro = front cam from Indian version, rear cam from global/China version. Also they did something to the photo quality output on the RN5 just before RN6pro launch. |

QUOTE(MGM @ Mar 30 2019, 09:33 AM) Posted this in RN4 thread but didnt get much reply, hope can get help from here: not all service center is good and skillful. some of workers just now to get salary only and working based on SOP as xiaomi instruct. My Malaysian set RN4x is unable to switch on or boot, only red light keeps blinking during charging. Google and it seems like a common problem but different way of rectifications. So far tried a few but not working. After trying the different self diagnosis suggested by google, my 18months old RN4 still cannot be charged or boot. Brought to Xiaomi Authorised service center to diagnose and was told problem with mainboard, so not worth repairing n paid rm25 for that. My 3year old RN3 still kicking strong. The xiaomi authorized service center said my phone is gone and data not retrievable. But when I brought to another shop, tested my battery ok but still can't charge and can't switched on, dismantled the battery n powered d phone directly by charger n phone can be switched on and booted, everything still intact felt relieved. At least now allowed me to savage my data. Will backup all data b4 repairing the shorted mainboard, repairing cost btw rm150-rm250. Useless xiaomi service center charged me rm25 for a lousy job. WTA: 1) Is it safe to continue using the shorted phone with direct power while backup the data and reset it to factory setting? 2) Is the repair cost of 150-250 which takes 2 hours too high? 3) Normally would repaired unit last >1 year? Any opinion is welcome. and they also normally wont fix ur damaged phone ( most serious case) since they also want to sell new phone to u. better selling u new phone than fix old phone since profit of new phone much higher than charge u to fix old 1. they very2 diff compared outside shop. 1. should be ok i guess( make sure the direct power is stable enough) 2. not sure, never repair my phone 3. normally for me, i will only repair if the price is not that high compared if need to buy new phone. but in my entire life, i only encounter 1 phone dies on me, which is nexus 5, and i already use it more than 5 years. which not worth for me to fix it anymore. |

QUOTE(eastwest @ Jul 4 2020, 04:47 PM) Only few times i saw my rn5 display fast charges.. Yesterday tried charging using newly bought fast charger.. No fast charging icon appear.. what charger did u use ?There was one time, fast charging happen using the normal cable/charger.. Weird.. i use Qualcomm qc3.0 certified charger, always use fast charging. but remember, this kind of charging will pump the power quickly if u starting from 0-30 %. and u can feel lil bit of heat. i always like normal charging 5V 2A if starting from low %. |

my wife still using RN5, and i also still using RN6pro.
still on original battery, check from the accubattery, battery health now around 75% capacify full charge. so as expected since 3years already. yea, could be the new MIUI , might using more battery than original version that it come with. another things, is ur apps. some apps might wake up the cpu more often than before. compare with the time when u just bought the phone. OR ur new replaced battery is not genuine. how much cost to replace it? i also thinking to do the change. |

QUOTE(eastwest @ Dec 7 2021, 09:41 AM) i think its normal nowdays.my laptop also same. can charge up to 100%( but actually just 80% from designed capacity).tesla car also same. their software limit just 80% charge unless u want to travel more longer so can charge up to 100%. old phone, mybe they still dont have this feature yet. i also use accubattery to let me know if its charge to 80% and give me notification on my smart watch, so that i dont overcharge it. same when i went to sleep, i set the smart plug charger , to turn it off once the battery around 90% full. i only full charge it when i feel i need to use phone more longer. |

QUOTE(eastwest @ Dec 8 2021, 10:36 AM) the bold part... that's what i've been wondering about... I never saw any phone that charged to 80% only and stopped at that point. (meaning the battery bar/percentage only show 80%). yes. i also not sure for phone if already hv this features. but the 1 i mentioned is from my laptop![]() eastwest liked this post
