One question guys!

Maybe not related but i buy iphone 12 pro under normal contract and decided give my mom to use it without activated using my sim card.

As for now the phone was been stolen and since I'm not a iPhone using so i didn't do any much settings especially on the apple id.

Can we ask service providers to block imei although i never activated the phone using my own sim card?

you know it wont help much blocking the imei right? still can use as normal and activated the phone using whatever sim card also can doesnt have to be your sim.

assuming you login with apple id if not you wont be able to download apps. Why never try to use the 'Find my iPhone'? no harm to try.

Had an interesting discovery. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has 2 SIM slot and also support eSIM.
Checked on the IMEI, there's only 2. One each for the SIM slots. No IMEI for eSIM is found. Checked on Samsung Malaysia website and YooDoob telco, eSIM do work for our S21 Ultra. Since there is no IMEI for the eSIM, does it mean the phone will never get phone lock?

Update: There's an EID for the eSIM. But we've only heard of MCMC blocking IMEI 1 in the early days and currently IMEI 2 as well. Question now is do MCMC blocks EID??

I believe with the EID serial number, MCMC can still block the eSIM just like IMEI 1 & 2.

Yes. Now MCMC has started to block both IMEI 1 and 2.
But not sure for EID. Need someone to confirm it.

have seen one carousell seller selling one device showing "device locked", cannot enter in the main screen. so now the whole phone cannot be used anymore, not just lock sim 1 and 2 slots

ESIM also will occupy one IMEI.
So it will be blocked as well.

Now celcom no longer allow telco set to use other telco simcard.
I got a samsung a35 free phone with contract. After few month usage, they barred other telco simcard connect to 4g/5g.
