there is quite many reason for many of us to support a football team...considering that if you live or born in manchester that might be a good reason why u support united or city..i actually cant remember why i support manchester united but have been supporting since i was standard 4 when ince, kanchelskies, bruce and so on still playing...and im also a reg giants(have been living here since i was a kid but now fed up with malaysian footbal) and a malaysian football team fan(ok la..they sucks but im still malaysian)..still quite pissed off if someone from malaysia sokong other country..go live at another country

so what is your reason?

i started supporting man utd because my sister was supporting them in 199x (forgot which year, the year they lost the fa cup to everton)

I simply support the team, and never regret it hehe

But seriously, i think we shouldn't support foreign teams, like the hitz fm commercial said. Start supporting your local football team !!!

Man Utd coz of Cantona but just admire him only. getting serious after they won treble. well, u can call me a glory hunter.

Err... I don't support any but enjoy good football game. I don't really care if any particular team win or lose as long as the game is entertaining. Usually I will watch the game if interesting player(s) involved cause most of the time they are the one who make the game enjoyable. Fluent attacking football is the best to watch.

Heh, just remembered something, if there is any team I do support it would be my ex-school team of U15 last time while schooling there.

actually, I started supporting Man Utd because my cousin was supporting Man Utd.

and also, because of Beckham.
he influenced me to like football. and now, I love Man United because of the squad

Robbie GOD Fowler got me into the team, so was Macca. Despite them being an inferior team to Man Utd during that time, I am always a rebelious kind of guy, when people support Man Utd and Arsenal, I go for Liverpool. Since then, with the help of the internet, I was obsess with the reds, looking out at their history, learning their famous anthem "you'll never walk alone", watch most of their matches....etc

I started when Roy Evans was still the manager of the team. Then GH who brought us a lil bit of success but introduced boring football, now Rafa Benitez the tactical genius.

glory hunter?heh..that rings a bell actually..i think im also a glory hunterlah..but that seems normal for standard 4 kid to support a winning team that time..but i have never change a team after i fall in love with MU..even if they play in league championship i will still supporting them!
