well if you mod your xbox 360 you'll be able to play pirated/fake games...but you also will have a chance of being banned from xbox live.

US set huh?

your game choices will be limited to the NTSC/US region and region free games, whereas most of the games available in M'sia are NTSC/J region

I think your next question will be, Will modding allow me to play cross region?

the answer is NO, modding only lets you play Jack Sparrow game from the same region

Hello, noobs on 360. Just get my 60gb second hand and was modded. Playing backup with no problem unless the newest game like tekken 6 and the shooting game something something v.1.5.

My noob question would be :

1) Since cannot read newer game using bootdisc (that's what i'd been told) so i need to update my DVD-drive firmware or flash it? Any idea how to do it if can DIY?

2) I'd update my 360 via USB. But when i tried to connect to Live it still requires me to update again. I immediately shut it off. Any pointers how to check if i can log into Live/if my console is banned?

3) Was trying to play WE2010 using backup, but cannot connect to Live and need update, it just sad. Possible to play it via Live using backup?

buying a modded console giving yr self so much trouble is sad enough....

if only u bought a unmodded console i dont think u would even need to post all this.

if malaysia's living standard can be on par with our neighbour's downsouth then seriously i'll go for original of course. Less trouble with online/update/software. Who wants headache anyway?

1)ur latest firmware all require boot disc
2)only 1 way to check if the console has been banned or not..connect to live
3)possible to play backup on live..but must remember there is possible to get banned on the spot whenever u connect to live...bare with it

then anyone here got the hammerBAN before using backup? i was thinking to try it out. But i think my Live is not been banned cause the HALO 3 video and some theme is still on the HDD. I think only. Cause i deleted the previous account, so i need to register another new Live account for me. What about gamertag? I use a new or retrieve the previous owner's? Thanks a bunch. Really noob here.

register with the country where m$ already launch
e.g US,UK or sg

google for the address and the most imprtant thing the postcode must be correct

help......im new in xbox360.......so i got a question here....how come i cant sign in d xbox live......it says 'xbox live isnt currently available in this locale associated with this windows live id. please use different windows live id' .......wat should i do then.....

which region did you create yr Live! ID ? you should be choosing SG for malaysia

i wouldn't recommend modding as xbox live is farking awesome! makesure you buy 2 set (if your have the moula) > 1 modded for your fix 2> for xboxlive
