is ggbyte odin pro 550wt a good psu?

I dunno. Here to ask same question. Anyone can answer? It has quad 12v rails of 18amps each. Seem to be dream mainstream psu for me.

Well, after reading the review from jonnyguru and several others, I am concluding that this is one of the best mainstream psu with quad 12v rails. However it is only worth it if you or we (me going get one) purchase the PRO version instead of GT version.

We seldom use power supply monitoring software and further it is quite buggy from what I read from review. Aside that, GT and Pro is exactly the same but price much lower. It meet my requirements: blue leds, big quiet fan, quad 12v rails, price below RM400, nice looking, modular, fullt sleeved, n good warranty.

Here I come~!

Yesterday I change my GC to 7900GS on my SFF pc with a Coolermaster Extreme 380W PSU. Wouldn't boot.
Had to unplug my DVDRW to get it started. Sigh, looks like I need more juice if I wanna get the rig gaming with OC.
Whats the comment on the Mushkin modular HP580-AP? The 12V rails claim got 38A, best of all its modular so bette cable management for the SFF pc...

If that PSU fit ur budget then why not. If u are in tight budget then can get FSP saga, Silverstone, Gigabyte within 450Watt. 38A for 12V rail sure more than enough for mainstream overclocker.

A lot of PSUs have auto adjust speeds nowadays. Check out silentpcreview's psu reviews and you'll see what I mean

It should be enough. Only the 8800gts/gtx/ultra/HD2900 needs >600W in crossfire/sli

for the first time, my ST56ZF made me sweating sweat.gif, well it's not kaboom, or whatsoever, but earlier today, when i re-apply thermal paste for CPU, Chipset and GPU (3 months at a time job) as well as do some cleaning job, re-assemble and doh.gif, the system cannot boot... the standby LED was lit though, just like normal standby (orange) before it's going to green meaning it's successfully booted... but it appeared it won't be green no matter i press the power button 30 times. at first it might be due to lack of power, so i dissassemble some hardware, fans mostly... but still the same, double, triple checked the connection... seems no problem at all, i've done almost everything, until how-many-i-pressed-i-don't-know, luckily booted like normal, checked voltage reading/fluctuation via Lavalys Everest - normal like first day i got the PSU... so guys, any idea of what's going on?
