Xbit lab oredi proved..
their test system of E8400@ 3Ghz plus 2GB of ram , HDDs and hd4850 only consume 290 watts (load) tested on socket.
but they recommend take 500W psu.. (never push ur psu to its limit)

I would say yes on that. based on my personal experience. but then again it really depends on the rails configuration of the psu. so strictly speaking, we shouldn't ask whether if higher watt can give better oc or stability. but how the rails are configured. smile.gif

is it? from my experience, suppose an E8400 can done maximum 4Ghz at stock vcore on a caplang PSU, but i don't think a better psu or even a superb psu can make it out of 4Ghz at stock vcore also..
from wat i know, oc ability is depend on board and the processor itself.

But I don't think if using Chapalang PSU is stable because usually that type of PSU cannot provide stable voltage.

ya.. maybe caplang have this problem as u say.. rclxub.gif

then i take another example..

suppose a RM150+/- vantec 450 watt ion 2 PSU or cooler master extreme 430watt PSU can done e8400 on max 4GHz on stock vcore

i don't think a >RM400 corsair HX or OCZ elite PSU can make it out of 4Ghz on stock vcore.. laugh.gif

my words is the ability is not depend on PSU icon_rolleyes.gif
