VPower 550W user here. Though it didn't "explode" but it makes hell of a noise (high pitch varying with the fps < doesn't make sense) when I go into 3d mode with vsync off (fps shooting up high)! That's the only reason I haven't started OCing my system dry.gif. Sign of PSU die-ing?

I googled around, saw many people with this kinda cases. Some warranty came back alright, some warranty still same thing. PSU's characteristics? (Those are all different brands of PSU though)

I've been using AVR, so far only blow the fuse once lol. *Forgot and connected a 1400W vacuum machine to it ._.*

Other than that, never kena lightning or surge yet... But got a few times can hear the AVR clicking and etc and my house lightings got blink a little. =/ guess the AVR did the job or protecting my pc?

Xbit lab oredi proved..
their test system of E8400@ 3Ghz plus 2GB of ram , HDDs and hd4850 only consume 290 watts (load) tested on socket.
but they recommend take 500W psu.. (never push ur psu to its limit)
