now already so long queue, i wonder whats 1st april will be like laugh.gif

There was a female staff standing next to a scale with a huge 7KG sign next to it. Many people pass thru but no one was asked to stop and weigh the bags.

Not sure if there will be another check at the departure gate or not. Will know soon biggrin.gif

At last after four days of waiting I received the new itinerary email (plus I get the Quiet Zone seats with no extra cost).

Thanks AirAsia wub.gif

No checking at the departure gate. Flight in 45 minutes and haven't start boarding so I doubt they'll be checking at boarding gate also. Definitely hold up the queue laugh.gif

Like normal only. No check so far.

Only international flights can claim. Read backwards a few pages, I'm sure you'll come across some info on what you're looking for. Also you can check AirAsia help page for the service fee.

Hi guys, airasia has open up a flight to hawaii, honolulu flight from japan.
here comes a query,
do we need to apply for japan visa since it's a stopover and as for hawaii, do we need to apply for america visa?
i recalled earlier somewhere i read that malaysian may not require to apply for america visa.
anyone been to hawaii can advise in this matter?
*
Of course you need America visa, you are entering America. I just came back from HNL in January. Maybe in the future but with the politics like that, I don't see that happening in the near future.
It's not that difficult to get American visa anyways, just very expensive - RM700+ if I recall correctly. But it lasts 10 years so that isn't too bad if you go to the states a number of times.

No, you do not need Japan visa. Malaysians not required to apply for visa to travel to Japan anyways (as long as your passport has the chip logo).

another thing i just experienced, due to bad internet connection..im not able to online check in on my way back
so when i check in at airport kiosk, it say no more available seats...proceed to check in counter
the staff assign the seats at emergency exit for me which i think its hot seats which has way bigger legroom
so lesson learnt?...dnt check in too early? hmm.gif
*
Haha. Yea I've been assigned to hot seat twice before. Once for my flight from Gold Coast back somemore window hot seat right in the front row. It was a booking for 4 pax and 3 pax bought seats while mine didn't purchase any seats so auto assigned to hot seat laugh.gif

I recline seats all the way most of the time. Especially for long distance AAX flights, how to sit in the upright position for so long.

Nothing new here.

How's the queue like? I seldom go to K2..
*
3 hours should be fine. It depends what time your flight also. Sometimes a lot of people, sometimes a lot of counter open too. Generally give yourself 2-3 hours is safe, with some time to makan minum.
There are many check-in kiosk but I prefer to web check in beforehand. So far the few times I've used the kiosk, I didn't have to queue, or maybe just 1 person max in front of me.

Give yourself minimum 30 min from check in counter to departure gates.

Don't think so. I'm quite sure you will have to come out then go in again.

Does any of you receive before call from Air Asia, where they want to verify some booking details, for safety purpose checking on international flights?
Fly before few times, AA or any other economy flight, i have never encounter this before and this is the first time.. They called me up suddenly asking who am I travelling with on the same booking. Sounds weird.. and leave me feeling uneasy now..
*
Nope. I can say I fly AirAsia to international destination quite often but have never had such experience.

i'm trying to online check-in from busan to kl,but only my gf able to check-in, and i not able to.

FYI,my gf is a korean is it because of that matter?
*
What kind of problem? Just check in at the counter. Could be problem with your browser also sometimes. Reset it then try again and see.

QUOTE(Belphegor @ Apr 28 2017, 08:32 PM)

Should be no problem. Sometimes it puts me as male and doesn't allow me to change also. So far no issues as long as name and DOB correct.

Anyone flew with AirAsia from overseas to KLIA2 to go to another international destination before? Are you able to come out of the airport in between flights? Both flights under one booking.

Fly thru only available at KL and Bangkok
Flight from Surat Thani to KL rescheduled. Gonna miss my KL to Labuan flight. There is no other flight for the day liao lol. I need to get back today. Talked to their CS online they say settle at the counter. At counter they ask me settle at KL counter for refund. Oh well. My fault la. Should have expected Air Asia is not reliable from the start.
*
How many hours did you give yourself in between flights?

Hey guys, would like to check with you all if there's any height restrictions on the travel backpack? As I'm travelling to BKK on September, planning to get a backpack instead to have everything inside; toiletries, shirts, sandals, etc.

I know there's the size and weight limit for hang carry luggage but what about backpack? hmm.gif
*
Same restrictions.

Regarding about my booking ticket to singapore next month ,

total RM 160 ++ is for 1 WAY only is it ??

how about my return >> ??? is that mean i need to checkout twice or HOW ??

how about my luggage and bag ?? how many KG is included ( IT DOES NOT MENTION in airasia  )

sorry asking so many question , first time booking flight ticket from air asia .
*
If you did a search for return then it'll be a return trip. If you search for 1-way then it'll show only 1-way. This is the same for online booking with all airlines.

No check in luggage in included in the fare. You'll have the option to add on how many KGs you want in the page after you key in your details. Everything you add on is additionally charged. You can choose not to fly with any check in luggage and just go with your hand carry (which is limited to 7kg and the size restrictions which I'm sure most people are aware right now).

QUOTE(inachi @ May 6 2017, 05:27 PM)
Not uncommon. Hence why I always make it a point to be at airport at least 3-4 hours before flight if I have anything to check in.

How much is it?

Usually airasia promo fare last how long?
Let's say last week i saw a fare rm500, today i checked it becomes rm300 promo fare. When will this disappear? 1 week? 1 day?
*
Depends, but usually a few days. As long as the promo seats on that particular flight is not taken up, you might still get it tomorrow.
If it's during the peak season and a popular route, it might be gone the next hour.

QUOTE(kehadapan @ Jun 7 2017, 11:23 AM)
have anyone here booked hotel rooms in japan via airasiago?

is it based on the room price or price per person?
from my understanding, japan hotel usually charge price per person

coz airasiago display price per room, scared that if i purchase the room right away, sampai sana suddenly got extra fee to pay
*
From what I understand about booking hotels in Japan via airasiago/booking.com/Agoda and similar sites. There's always a maximum number of guests allowed per room (usually 2 pax). So if you stick to that, I don't see why they will charge an additional fee for extra guests.

All my Japan accommodations so far I've not have any issues like that.

Hi everyone,
Is the 7kg carry on baggage strictly enforced by Airasia?
I only have a short few days travel so my only luggage is a carry on weighing 10 kg in total that I prefer not to check to minimize hassle of waiting luggage and getting baggage damaged.
*
It's a risk I wouldn't wanna take unless the items are really precious and fragile then I will risk it.

QUOTE(MGM @ Jul 26 2017, 11:47 AM)

Handbag/Notebook bag and Laptop is included in the 7kg. Unless you wear on layers of clothes maybe.
