HeHeHunter, i visited your site and am very happy to be using your version of xunlei. however i have 1 issue that arised from this.
i am running on a wireless G router to every com in the house. whenever i switch on xunlei/thunder, my wireless connection breaks and it stuff's up the router until i reset it. meaning when xunlei is switched on, no other computer thats connected on wireless can work. cant surf, cant msn can do shits.

signal is connected on computer, wireless signal from router is gone. (meaning the wireless on indicator on the wireless router is gone)
however, the com which has xunlei on, is still downloading, but also cannot surf cannot msn cannot do shits. but still downloading.

Tried laptop direct to modem, - xunlei on, bt on, wc3 bnet on, silkroadonline on no problem, definitely can surf but slow
Tried laptop direct to router on LAN port - xunlei on, bt on, silkroadonline on, definitely can surf, other comps still cna surf.
Tried all computers on wireless connection to router - xunlei on, all cannot surf, all cannot msn, all computers conenction dead cept 4 the one with xunlei on.

Any troubleshooting advice ?

Tcp half conenctions on 40 instead of 50.
port forwarded and triggered definitely.
no firewalls.
router firewall i bring down long time ago.
AVG antivirus but doesnt matter coz i kill that app each time i swtich on the pc.
Ran 2 diff routers without MIMO, Linksys WRT54G and a Netgear w614G. both also reacted the same when xunlei is on.

Xunlei averagely downloads at 240kbytes/s. fast for my 1mb line.

any tips on what other settings and tweakings i need to look into ?

direct connection is not an option, i live in a 3 storey house and my modem and router is on one end while the 6 other bedrooms are all over the place and so are the comps.

anyone got any suggestions to tweaking or repairing ? anyone experiencing the similar problems as i am ?

you using wifi ? what router ? how many comps connected to that router ?
coz i have 18 fellas who face the same problem as i am.

we have some using Atlas One ISP with Dlink MiMo router - 2 comps connected.
me on WG54 Linksys and Netgear 614 also problem, 6 comps connected
my closest buddy on a cacated level one also same issue.
another 2 on some funny belkin single antenna brown color router also same issue.

only the ones plugged into LAN cable can do all the funny funny stuff like surf and msn.
but otherwise we all actually "KILLED" our wifi connection on our wireless router.
if u tell me your router no problem, we will all go purchase that router.

i was using bitcomet 0.79 before i switched to this. last year my torrent performance was 150-170kbytes/sec. then early this year my bitcomet had unbearable speeds i switched to utorrent and still got the same sucky speeds until i used this. now zoooming like mad but then haihz.......wireless problem wireless problemmmmmmm....

how la to fix this wireless problem.....

dude, everything depends on seeders. but somehow, juz somehow xunlei is able to get the downloadings going faster than any other client i've tried. still amazes me though. especially when my wife downloads her chinese torrents (tv series) it goes all the way up to 190kbs.
very amazing.

p/s - still having some wireless issues.

half open put 50 also enough liao lor. anything above 50 can hang kei the connection wan.
download slow coz little seeders ? or peers not online ?

mine still ok ....living in aman suria connected to some cacated 124.85.xx.xx ip and some sohai 60.50/60.54 ip. mind u , those ip cannot play games......love online game asking them to migrate me back but they dowan.

Xunlei DHT peer return 250-400. still good for me. first time i sea overseas flag in my peers and seeders.

xunlei works for some and really is a $#@!$!%$! for others.
the only way u really wanna test xunlei,

1 - download the no ads version from hehehunter the sifu
2 - download the torrent file.
3 - u can use xunlei and bitcomet/azureus/uttorent/bittorrent/whatever blah blah there is like abc and all
4 - download the same torrent file using both the clients. xunlei and yur preferred. see who moves faster.

* theres a netmonitor if u dont wanna do it simultaneously. do it 1 at a time for 5 mins and u'll monitor the stats from there. for cheapskates and IT illeterate, your nokia phone has a stopwatch. count exactly 5mins and stop. then see the percentage on both your clients.

**Tip - dont forget to forward your ports if you're running on a router.

for me it works fine. heavy on resources like bitcomet but works well coz i actually see alot of international seeders and peers.

@bububang, how to do it ah ? can explain step by step please. me got 1 torrent stuck on xunlei at 98.9% for 1 month now.
wanna migrate from file from xunlei client to bitcomet how ah . thanks in advance.

nope, using 2 torrent client to download the same file didnt work for me. bitcomet somehow couldnt get me international seeders and peers. and miraculously xunlei's client could obtain me even from far parts of brazil. i really dunno how that could happen.

eh look the sifu is back.

mine still running fine. Didnt have to switch on secureix when using xunlei.

@junster - sometimes it could be the seeders. it could also be your router port isnt forwarded properly if u're on one. it could also be your firewall or antivirus. so do some basic troubleshooting.

@jtcs87 - secureix, relakks and bolehvpn u can find at the stickied threads under commercial VPN services.

@pipx - try some basic troubleshooting like above. most importantly remember to get a file with plenty of seeders. to know if its working for u, you shud be able to see intrnational peers(most important) on your peer list for that file. make sure DHT returns not as 0.

wah hehehunter u released any new updates ?

to all xunlei users, this piece of software is great right ? u can actually see international peers without switching VPN on.

eh hehehunter , when u free that time can u look into the new version of xunlei and translate it.
also if u can, tell ppl bout tcp 1/2 open connections. alot of weirdo's pm me bout it. cant answer the same thing everyday, boring man. i got my sro thread to keep up with cukup liao.

xunlei hangs my router as well but it doesnt bother me since my download speeds are way up to par. it has something to do with the tcp 1/2 open connection. once u patched that on your winxp , u should be running smoother with less modem resets.
i remember before patching i couldnt even fire up google. hahahaha.

All tested and xunlei running smoothly. averaging from 150-240kb/s (1mb and 2mb line)

yea, either u pause and start the file again so it continues to find peers, or u migrate the remainder to bitcomet.
