hopefully faking http headers will last for quite some time more...... that is till tm finds out of a solution.

try reinstalling ...... it happened to me once. make sure its wiped clean yah. if all else fails, consult HeHeHunter. He might have a solution for ya.

i cant really identify your cause of problem. However rest assured that all my setting are at default. No tweaks no changes, not even port forwarding is done on my wireless router. If i may, i'd like to suggest to you a few things in which u may try out.

1 - I've been running on an older version of xunlei with the latest english pack from HeHeHunter. Perhaps revert to an older version ?
Mine is 5.6.8.327 its kinda old but it works fine and its stable. No reason for me to upgrade just yet.

2 - If you have another pc at home, probably u can try installing your current version of xunlei into that other comp for a test run ? or get a friends laptop and run it on the same network for a few trials .

3 - Seeding and Leeching are very fidgety topics so i will try my best to be neutral on this. get an extremely high seeding file, from a reliable source. I do not promote the use of piracy as it is against LYN rules so perhaps u can find a material that fits the description and try dl the same file over and over again.

4 - Comparison of bandwidth between http and xunlei. we all know that streamyx or whatever ISP's out there has limited amounts of stability, so perhaps this issue could lie with them instead of u. Still its worth to try out. Download something from microsoft at random times, and then open xunlei when the download is done. with a high seeding torrent file, u shud get approximately the same speeds. u can also try downloadin something say from download.com and use xunlei to download that item. see if the speeds u get are satisfactory. nvidia also has high amounts of bandwidth. test it out, it could be streamyx or whatever ISP u're using.

As for chinese characters. its at your control panel ----> regional and language settings -----> choose chinese PRC.

still max speeds with mine. mebbe your torrent not alot of seeders or downloaders ?
or mebbe it could be the seeders and downloaders only switch on at night ?

i still havent upgraded my xunlei. i might soon though, planning to format my comp soon.

any verdicts on the new version ? any hangkei ? any complains yet ?
if not will format my comp over the weekend and install that latest version.

As of lately, when i installed the new version of xunlei - found it under linkin's sig, i feel that my speed does not par with what its supposed to be.
hmmm, lemme run some more tests.

ok due to so many problems in the version i'm using which is 5.7.9.466
i've decided to revert it back to the version i first started with.

my comp, hanged 3 times in 1 day with xunlei active.
it also gave me unbearable low speeds.
better for me to switch over. lucky i still keep the file in my portable hdd along with HeHeHunter's En 2.0A file.
