QUOTE(-Cheated!- @ Feb 13 2018, 11:51 PM) That was way back during 12.12 sale last year. I don't think you can get brand new with that price now. Maybe lowest 7XX after applying voucher. Kinda immature statement because he doesn't mentioned about special voucher given for very very limited time only. Well he's from the kopitiam level so don't expect what he talks is like a true pro. I think he is just trying to say that the 2nd hand value should be lower because of that. |

Google to debut emails that automatically update
![]() Gmail is about to get dynamic. Alphabet Inc's Google on Tuesday plans to demonstrate a software programming system that would enable emails to feature continuously updating information and greater interactivity. Users could see automatically updated flight information in a booking confirmation email. They could fill out surveys without leaving a message or review close-up shots of products in a marketing pitch without opening a browser window. The envisioned changes are an outgrowth of Google's AMP project, or accelerated mobile pages, Aakash Sahney, a product manager overseeing Gmail, said in a blog post Tuesday. AMP is a set of programming intended to make webpages load faster by stripping out layers of technology. It has drawn praise from publishers such as Hearst Corp and the Washington Post for making their websites more inviting for users. But some web developers have expressed concern that Google is getting too much say in how the web operates. Google is pushing forward. The Gmail integration marks the first broader use for AMP. Other email providers can adopt AMP as well, Google announced as it kicks off an AMP-focused conference for software developers in Amsterdam. The initial version of AMP for email is aimed at bulk senders. A retailer, for example, that sends a weekly sales notice could ensure that recipients see the current price or availability of an item no matter when the email is opened. Bookmarking service Pinterest, scheduling app Doodle and Priceline Group Inc's Booking.com are testing AMP for email, according to Google. |

Most of Xiaomi phone models having GPS but that's because it's using MIUI. The Mi A1 using pure stock Android and I don't see why anyone having any GPS issue unless they are getting crappy network especially near remote or closed area.

Google removes ‘view image’ button from search results to make pics harder to steal
![]() Google is making a change to image search today that sounds small but will have a big impact: it’s removing the “view image” button that appeared when you clicked on a picture, which allowed you to open the image alone. The button was extremely useful for users, since when you’re searching for a picture, there’s a very good chance that you want to take it and use it for something. Now, you’ll have to take additional steps to save an image. The change is essentially meant to frustrate users. Google has long been under fire from photographers and publishers who felt that image search allowed people to steal their pictures, and the removal of the view image button is one of many changes being made in response. A deal to show copyright information and improve attribution of Getty photos was announced last week and included these changes. The intention seems to be either stopping people from taking an image altogether or driving them through to the website where the image is found, so that the website can serve ads and get revenue and so people are more likely to see any associated copyright information. That’s great news for publishers, but it’s an annoying additional step for someone trying to find a picture. Now you’ll have to wait for a website to load and then scroll through it to find the image. Websites sometimes disable the ability to right click, too, which would make it even harder for someone to grab a photo they’re looking for. Click here Fortunately, there’s still at least one way around it: if you right click, you can select “open image in new tab” or “view image” (or whatever your browser’s equivalent option is), and you’ll still open up the full-size picture. It’s just a bit less likely that everyone will realize this is an option. And since the “visit” site button is now the most visible button, that’s probably what’ll end up getting clicked the .most In addition to removing the “view image” button, Google has also removed the “search by image” button that appeared when you opened up a photo, too. This change isn’t quite as big, however. You’ll still be able to do a reverse image search by dragging the image to the search bar, and Google will still display related images when you click on a search result. The button may have been used by people to find un-watermarked versions of images they were interested in, which is likely part of why Google pulled it. While it’s good to see Google protecting photographers and driving traffic to websites, it’s still hard not to be a little annoyed by the changes. There are plenty of legitimate and legal uses for copyrighted images. And while it’s fair to ask users to do their due diligence by making sure they’re properly attributing photos, these changes really seem designed to stop images from being grabbed in the first place. QUOTE(prabjit93 @ Feb 21 2018, 11:37 PM) Hi guys, just got my Mi A1 black yesterday. Just finished setting it up and update to 8.0 patch January 2018. It was on 7.1.2 out of the box. Welcome to the club! QUOTE(Marcian @ Feb 22 2018, 11:46 AM) Welcome new owners Welcome to the club! Struggling between choosing this Mi A1 and Nova 2i previously. Hannah was tempting me to the 2i. But eventually A1 won my heart and now using it QUOTE(cherries @ Feb 22 2018, 02:19 PM) I used mi3, mi4, redmi note 4 before, now A1. All also got problem when use waze. Really fed up with xiaomi. Most of Xiaomi models having GPS lock in issue mainly because of MIUI. I never experience Mi A1 having this issue at all because it's pure stock Android and not MIUI. QUOTE(cherries @ Feb 22 2018, 02:48 PM) Those Mi models were using MIUI. A1 missing network probably because of your current location either closed or remote area. Another possibility would be your service provider. |

Will your phone give you cancer? Here is how to check phone's radiation aka SAR value
Do phones, and particularly smartphones cause cancer? So, the indications are that they don't. Most of the research that has been carried out so far hints that phones do emit radiation because of the radio waves but it is not strong enough to damage DNA. But with that said, the current wisdom regarding smartphones and cancer is based on the fact that so far no direct link has been found yet between cancer smartphones. Yet. This is the key word. It is known that phones are carcinogenic. It's just that radiation from them is not strong enough to fry DNA. The key question, however, now becomes just how strong is the radiation coming from your phone. Every electronic device emits a small amount of non-ionizing radiation measuring around few REMS and the amount absorbed by body between a specific time period is known as SAR value i.e Specific absorption rate (SAR). In simple words if you want to know how much radiation your phone is putting out, you need to figure out its SAR value. WHAT IS SAR? When electromagnetic waves are received and transmitted there is a loss of some per cent and this lost percentage of electromagnetic waves is absorbed by the tissues around it. SAR value is the rate at which the body absorbs this lost electromagnetic waves. Phones contain radio transmitters and receiver in order to operate on the wireless network. So they emit radio waves, which are carcinogenic. Although as noted earlier, the intensity of these radio waves deems them harmless. |

MIUI facing GPS lock in problem. Stock Android face none unless you have a crappy network carrier, closed area or remote location.

What I know is when your phone display 3g, usually WAZE will stop but when it shows 4g, WAZE will continue to run like normal.
Like I've said before either you have a crappy network, on a closed or remote area. If you are using MIUI, WAZE hardly enable to lock in. That's the major reason why I bought this phone because it's free from MIUI. My two sets of Redmi Note 4 unable to access WAZE either smoothly or at all. If you don't use any GPS navigations in your daily life. MIUI will not be an issue. |

There's a lot of difference between a budget hotel and a five 🌟 hotel. We are in a budget hotel, got it?
