1. Preferred brand : Asus / Lenovo
2. Budget : 5k
3. Usage : Lots of web browsing, movies, light gaming, torrent
4. Screen Size : 14 / 15

Battery life no matter. Prefer a little bit of SDD. Any recommendation?

Define beautiful? That's very subjective

With KBL-R CPU:
Acer Swift 5 - low brightness, high sRGB IPS panel
Acer Swift 3 15
Lenovo Yoga 520 - need RAM upgrade to 8GB

Need RAM+SSD upgrades:
Lenovo Ideapad 320s 14
HP Probook 440 G5

Actually you don't need such high budget if you don't need performance, these options will do just fine:
Asus UX430UA with i3 - high sRGB IPS panel
Lenovo Yoga 520 14 with i3 - need RAM upgrade
Lenovo Ideapad 510s 14 - need RAM+SSD upgrades
Lenovo Yoga 510 - need RAM+SSD upgrades

Thanks! Will check those out!

Hm, don't really mind either way? Will the difference be big? If I want, what choice will it narrow down to?

You need to play those games at lowest settings to achieve playable FPS. If you don't need dGPU there are options like:
Asus UX461UA (8250U)
Asus UX430UA (8250U)
Lenovo Thinkpad E480/E580 (consumer laptop with Thinkpad name, good build quality, 3yr warranty)

Or Thinkpad T480 if you can find a good deal

If you don't mind weight, a good gaming laptop like Dell G7 7588 mentioned above is also recommended, more performance.

Thank you! Weight does not matter much... As it'll stay home most of the time. Mostly I'll use it on my lap... Not travelling much.

I read a bit, seems like most the spec for Dell G7 7588 out there is for 1tb+8gb... From what I understand this is combined, can it be upgraded / add 128gb SSD How much is the cost to upgrade if you know? Ones I saw this laptop need to preorder... Worry there might be issue, seems like not many review yet. I like to read review.

I'm not so rush to buy yet, should I wait in case there might be something else?

8GB SSD is for HDD caching, just like SSHD. Cheapest 120/128GB M.2 SSD is around RM220 if not mistaken. It's based on 7577 chassis, should have not much changes - solid build quality and cooling. Still need to wait for reviews. If you can wait, why not

Hi guys, currently I am considering Dell inspiron 7577 and Lenovo y520. Any other choices within these budget range?

My main usage is playing high settings games + multimedia design + Android and iPhone app development.

Thanks for any recommendations.

320s 14 has bigger battery, IPS panel, slightly better build quality and more portable. Aspire 5 has better GPU. I'll go for 320s 14 if I had to pick.

Hi,

Need some recommendation for laptop (preferable thin and light)

Price : 3.5k - 4k
Processor : at least i5
RAM : at least 8GB
Hardisk : SSD / SSD+HDD
Display : 13-14inch
Battery : Longer better (for traveling)

Currently found Zenbook 13 UX331UN, is this the best choice or others like Lenovo Yoga, Aces Swift 5 and etc...

Thanks!

UX430UA, Envy 13 (no dGPU) and Spin 5 13 are good choices too. Yoga 520 also good but need RAM upgrade. Swift 3 15 also a good budget option but it has 15.6 inch display. Swift 5 has OKish battery life. Check NBC reviews to know more info.

Make sure you get the newer model with 8250U CPU
