QUOTE(Silfer @ Jul 14 2020, 03:20 PM) Yea, Sharp mislead in specification stated that you can watch YouTube in HDR on UA6800X series (a few posts above). Smart YouTube TV will be OK. Pressing "DISPLAY" buttun on remote, you can check if is HDR, as bellow: ![]() This post has been edited by stasio: Aug 18 2020, 02:40 PM Silfer liked this post

QUOTE(peguin78 @ Jul 14 2020, 11:18 PM) I updated mine. So far can't see any difference. However i managed to install unifi play tv from Google play directly which was not available previously. If only i could use the tv remote just like the hypptv decoder remote. That's would nice. Yea,beside security patch (June 5,2020) and kernel version (3.10.79-June 13,2020), I can connect now WiFi 5GHZ without any problem. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ May 30 2020, 05:00 PM) your price is about right; the tv isn't so new. I copy HDR video clips (Dolby Vision,HDR10+,HLG and HDR10) on my USB drive.i paid rm3.3k (5yr warranty) almost 2 years ago. about HDR, if the video is HDR, u see HDR sign flashed at top left corner of tv. it is auto detect, no setting. youtube, i have never seen it flash... not sure if HDR works for youtube videos at all! but, if u playback an HDR video, u see it come on. the tv is not a superduper rm8-10k tv. generally, it displays well, no problem... with standard or movie mode. for 4khdr, u need to use dynamic, adjust yrself to find an acceptable set of parameters to bring out the details, brightness, color depths, etc. No any HDR sign flashed at top left corner ,but in pic setting HDR Gamma Adjustment is no more grayed and can adjust. I asume that HDR icon only appear thru HDMI (DVD player). To force HDR in YouTube ,I using latest SmartTube Next Beta ver.10.5 Btw, I ordered TCL 50C716 QLED (for my room) and I will keep this TV in my daughter room. As usual, Apple TV app didn't work for this Sharp model (even app is in Play Store).
Watching on TCL C716 without problem. This post has been edited by stasio: Jun 3 2021, 04:53 AM |

QUOTE(gacktleong @ Jul 13 2021, 12:11 PM) so far ok, ntg to complain about with this price tag + japan panel YouTube can play in HDR ?my old ux6800x video quality still beats the latest samsung entry level (recently bought for office use), both similar price tag and VA panel will deeply consider latest sharp model in future for own use Convael liked this post

QUOTE(Kuantan Guy @ Jul 13 2021, 10:13 PM) CK1X HDR So at least your model can.I don't really see the resolution difference but unifi is a must UA6800X can't......even is in spec. Edit: Did you have any icon on TV that is playing HDR10 or HLG (hope CK1X have) ? This post has been edited by stasio: Jul 13 2021, 11:15 PM |

QUOTE(Kuantan Guy @ Jul 14 2021, 09:08 PM) Disagree Excatly.....I agree.According to Sharp Malaysia, it depends on sizes, i.e. all 60" made by 1 factory, 55" panels made by another Not until u can prove ur 6800X panel made in Japan, don't be a smartass Quite a few smartasses in here already Sample...... Sharp claim for UA6800X YouTube in HDR10, but can't. |

QUOTE(Vanquish_08 @ Jul 15 2021, 12:20 PM) I bought before AL1X came out. After 1 year thin horizontal line came on screen, they replace complete TV. After this ok, now using in my third room for kids. All my posts about 6800X is here, even answer from Sharp that YouTube is not possible in HDR. But advertisment/spec in Sharp web page say ...yes...haha.. Presently ,very happy with TCL 50C716 in my room...... QUOTE(Vanquish_08 @ Jul 15 2021, 02:18 PM) Thanks, I have been reading through both discussions on the 6800X and the AL1X on this forum. The Sharp tech Many times I asked AL1X owners about it, but so far no replay.specs says AL1X supports HDR for Netflix, YouTube, HDMI and USB but there's not much feedback from users if this is really true. Was thinking of getting the AL1X for my condo in JB where I am based for work now. A local shop is quoting RM 2500.00 nett for the 60 inch version of the AL1X. I suspect same as 6800X. Edit: 6800X didn't support AppleTV+.... This post has been edited by stasio: Jul 15 2021, 09:45 PM |

QUOTE(anon118 @ Dec 20 2022, 10:37 PM) My LC-UE630x cannot watch YouTube about 2 weeks ago. Downgrade YT version to 2.16.503..Now suddenly I can't even cast through my mobile phone. Luckily still can cast with my laptop. I'm thinking it is because it is still Android 6. Thoughts anyone? Please? https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/yo...16-503-release/ |
