Astro go works perfectly... Picture quality not bad...

Only thing is the air mouse a bit hard to control and pull the page up/down, left/right.

Any with experience of putting a wireless mouse to control it? So we can scroll up down easier.
*
good to hear! rclxms.gif

wireless mouse, airmouse.... same... cannot scroll, the app is such.

can only drag.

i hope installed latest v8.2.6.

tv box = mi box 3 (borrow from fren)
sound bar = sony ct-390

the audio lags like 0.5s, for both online streaming and local playback. same thing happens when i replace the tvbox with a PC

i called to sharp, the technician told me it is becos the signal conversion between analog and digital (which i do not understand what he is saying or he is trying to bs me, as i using all hdmi connection, i assume my signal is all digital)
*
try w/o hdmi arc, use optical from tv to soundbar, see if u get same kind of lag.

that will tell something.

I did try it too, it has the same audio lag too.  hmm.gif
*
that, i am surprised.

i use this optical quite a bit, connected to AVR.

whether androidtv apps incl netflix, androidbox, hyppbox, playback or online streams, it is fine, no such lag.

i do not use hdmi arc, mibox or soundbar... don't know enough... maybe u can ask in mibox or soundbar threads.

i am quite sure it is not a TV problem.

i called to my regular shop, they also scratching their head. they advise me to use soundbar with multiple hdmi ports to solve this problem, pandai do biz  sweat.gif
*
while they would like u to spend, they may right about better soundbars.

yr soundbar is a cheap low end one, i think...

personally, i has never used or even played with a soundbar.

never like it, had always used full AVRs... for decades. tongue.gif

yea, it is a low end soundbar, got it rm7xx last time

it doesnt have any audio sync setting, as it has very basic setting. I bought the soundbar to sony center, they checked and tested, found nothing wrong with the unit.

so i assume the ARC connection got problem, also tried using another hdmi 2.0 cable, doesnt help
*
Possible such soundbars have protocols and firmware built for sony tvs, may not fit well with other tvs.

Seriously, consider selling it, spend a few kRM on a proper 5.1 home theater!

Not those hitb or home theater in a box, but a component built up set.

That can easily serve u well for 10 years.

Thanks..

Another question, I wanna install apk file from Usb drive but how come it doesn't show on usb folder?
*
Looks like u r trying to install or sideload apps from usb using the tv usb media player.... that wont work.

U need to use a file manager like X plore, findi in playstore.

Re read the last part of post #2.

Anyone tried Jetbox 3.0.2 apps ? Does it support on our tv?
*
b4 u go all gungho with sideloading apps, i want to caution u on the risks of some of these apps.

and i mean apps that are not in tv playstore, not in google playstore, found by googling, have dubious origins.

while some versions may be safe, some may be infected with malware.

do exercise caution and not install one that may brick yr tv.

if it does, it i not a few hundred rm like a separate box but a few K rm.

do be very careful, esp if u are new to this.

this particular one u asked about, i have not used and will not want it.

Based on Sony Technical Bulletin, their recommendation is to connect your input source device (Mibox / PC) --> Soundbar --> TV; for out of sync audio.
*
this is the std and correct way to connect a box player via AVR or soundbar, then to tv.

the thing is some people want to do hdmi arc for the sake of not switching on the avr/soundbar if they just want audio from tv.

QUOTE(gacktleong @ Nov 23 2018, 04:49 PM)
I believe the above works flawlessly if the soundbar comes with 2 hdmi input

too bad mine low end, only have 1 hdmi port which is ARC  sad.gif

anyway from the image, there is no connection from bluray player to TV, how to transmit the video  hmm.gif

user posted image
*
soundbar is using just one input (from box) and one output to tv.

player passes video+audio to soundbar; soundbar process/output audio while passthru video signals only to tv.

try that connection, forget the hdmi arc for while, see if u get audio lag or not... u shudn't.

question:

1. currently online selling 50" (rm 2249) while 60" (rm 3300).  can expertise here advise which size is worth it to buy?
2. is it recommended to get 5 years warranty?  if need 5 years warranty (2 + 3), then will have to pay extra rm 491.  please advise, expertise.

thanks in advance.
*
buy the size according to your viewing distance and space.
if too short distance, 60" is not a better choice than 50".
also, what u watch - if mostly HD/4k stuff, 60" might be better if distance is good enough.

extra warranty is like insurance - when nothing happens, it is a waste of money.
when u need it, u wish u had bought it.
so decide according to whether u want to take risk or not.
nobody knows if it will fail after 2 years or last >5 years.

moving or renovating?

unless u r sure it's 1 or 2 months, better wait.

there r always be good offers for older models... if u dun mind.

Hi bro. Can help my out.

My viewing distance is about 1.8m - 2.2m. Maybe will just play HD 720p or FHD stuff. Never own FHD/4K tv before.

I look around with the viewing distance calculator. They said 49" is enough. Will 55" or 60" become too big for my distance?

Thanks in advance. smile.gif
*
6-7ft... i wud suggest u go for 40" only.

that size, 4k does not mean much, 1080p is fine.

50" is best for 8-10ft; 60" 11-12 ft.

if u view too large at a short distance, yr eyes get tired very easily, u won't like it.

above is just my judgment and experience.

Anyone can advice calibration for this tv model. I find the colour very dull compared to my old LG tv.

Can’t seem to find the calibration settings on RTINGS
*
have u tried the diff av modes and for each mode, played around with the various variable settings, incl "advanced"?

i doubt there is any recommended calibrated settings besides the default originals.

u will need to pay someone a do a proper calibration if u wish.

hi, i just got my lc60ua6800x few days, sometimes after the tv off long time when i power on back it's black screen without anything few seconds and off it back, then i try to on it again , it appears android afterback back to normal.
whats wrong with this
*
bolded part.

i think u totally cut off power when switch off, correct?

if u do that, the next time u power up, the android needs to restart... u wait a bit for that.

try switching off with remote but do NOT cut off power.

then u see diff.

i have tried to connect tv box audio out to soundbar via optical cable, no issue with the lips sync.

the soundbar i got has only 1 hdmi port. so the above matters is not available for me  sad.gif
*
use of optical is fine in yr case since soundbar is a basic 2.1, limited to dd/dts... won't do hd audio anyway.

never cut off power , coz my socket very difficult to reach
*
that being the case, check your hdmi connections of devices attached.

remove hdmi and other device cables one by one and see if the restarting stops.

if same, u should contact sharp service becos android restart everytime while on standby power is NOT normal.

40in vs 60in.

Sure everything is different.

Esp with low quality videos.

I got only 20 mbps, have 100 mbps package.

Also my router sucks, I got only 2 bar, and dropping to 1 signal from the living room (my router is in bedroom) both 2.4 and 5 ghz
*
that is bit weak for HD streams.

u gotta change router, move eqpt around... get >30mbps to do streaming smoothly.

the tv's wifi is capable pf handling >200mbps if the signal is strong.
