Im planning to stay in asakusa. Im trying to reduce the trouble of changing hotel in this trip as well. For nikko and hakone im actually trying to get the earliest ride as possible from tokyo.

Do you suggest me to cover more area per place or just spend a long time to go through the key attraction only?

I'm planning to travel to Japan sometime around end of October till early Nov. As I've been to Tokyo and Osaka before im thinking to try Hokkaido this time, is it a good time to visit and is the autumn foliage still there during end of October?

Also, is it safe/legal to do jogging in the street of Japan? I know that during Autumn, daytime starts early and also ends early. My son and wife will still be sleeping in the morning so I plan to do some jogging in the early morning. I've never done this on my first trip so I'm a bit curious/cautious as to how Japanese people will think if they see a foreigner jogging along the walkway. I hope its not illegal?
