Hello guys. Referring to the malaysian custom link here,
http://www.customs.gov.my/en/ip/Pages/ip_pbft.aspxthere are many criteria for items that are allowed to be brought into the country tax-free.
Example point 1.1, - only 1 new pair of shoes are allowed to be brought into the country tax-free.
Do u guys detach all of the tax-free receipts off your passports before reaching KLIA, or would that be too obvious?
ok, you are asking back to malaysia, yes, only 1 pair new shoe,
if you buy 2 pair, please wear one of them, then become 1 old, 1 new
leaving japan is another story.....

from your experience the officers were not suspicious that you did not buy any tax-free item coming back from tokyo?
they will give you 2 receipt, 1 is attach in your passport, which you need detach it and put it in the basket in japan airport before clear immigration
another 1 is for your own keep, normally our customs officer won't check it.
