i use iclould once only on my ip5.

after that no more.. not saying iclould, but my data also not many.. previously on ip7 256gb, i use around 40gb..

128gb should be sufficient already..

but then never mind, cause i have bought it..
*
True also. Ideally 64GB is sufficient for 2 years usage.

I use iCloud to store my photos and documents only. 256GB macam overkill.. Just go for 64GB. Can use alternate Google Drive or Dropbox to store your stuff if dont want to pay.

Already resetted faceid twice. it's more about how you hold your phone against your face and the distance you're holding it.

can't really say it's more convenient since i migrated from a phone without fingerprint sensors and an ipad air 2 which has terribly slow touchid. faceid is what it is and i can still live with it so far

I used to have a lot of face id issue with "raise to wake", ever since I disabled it, tap to wake with face id works perfectly fine...

Yes agreed with that. I am upgrading from 7, thats why I feel the different. Better battery life, larger screen lead to better gaming and video experience, better camera. Most importantly, the glass back of Gold is so pretty. I can't resist to look at it, thats why im using transparent casing. Of course X would be better, but battery should be slightly lesser than 8 Plus.
*
Yeah, from normal size phone to the Plus size is a big upgrade, but from 7 Plus to 8 Plus not a big deal.

QUOTE(Criollo @ Dec 21 2017, 09:47 AM)
I kind of agree that the iphone x's battery is better then my 7+.

I'm not really paranoid about my battery usage and usually don't pay much attention to it. But i can game noticeably longer on my iphone x  tongue.gif

Ok, good to know that. Thanks!

Ya, could be your battery degraded a bit, I guess. One bro says his 7+ battery better than his X, right TOMEI-R?
Actually I had no idea how yellowish true-tone is till I put the X display unit beside a 7 Plus at a Machines outlet - it really is night and day, ha ha.. Probably good for those who don't like blue light.
*
IDK, but my X sure drains faster compared to my 7+. Even more so when you are using it. Standby time, the 7+ would pawn the X because of the larger capacity battery.

I think apple will ditch touch id away, but not immediately.. we might still get touch id for 2018/2019 but after that I don't think they will continue... new model will inherit a lot of from the X, edge to edge, buttonless, oled and etc.... there wont be any room for touch id, eventually..
*
i also think so. 8 might be the last phone with touch ID. soon the mute button will be ditch too. even charging cable will be ditch, totally replace with wireless charging.

ideally a phone with a switch on button will be the future. biggrin.gif

peer pressure and influences... when 256 is harder to get everyone wants it...forgetting whether do they really need it.. happened to me when I bought my first x for my wife...she uses only 10 gb a year in average lol..... so when I got mine I went with the 64 coz I don't use more than 30 gb before the next iphone comes..
*
LOL, i think ur wife don't take video and photo?
my wife 64gb sure not enuf. reason being is simple: never do "phone keeping".

just photo & video is about 30gb already sweat.gif

Oh IC, agreed with you. But you have no other alternative, unless you disable the Face ID and don't put password, which is insecure. Hope you get used to it soon.

Yea. My friends are upgrading too from smaller size iPhone, convincing them to get the X. But budget not allow.

Seriously. Its really happy that people say my phone's colour pretty smile.gif But seriously, if i am to get the X, i will pick the black though. Dun like the silver as it was like iPhone 3Gs.

i started to use 64gb on 5s and since that my data consumption approx 40gb, not more then 40gb even until ip7 256gb. still maintain usage for 40gb.

however, i have bought 256gb. just live with it !

I still haven’t do much thing on my X as I’m scared to transfer my data from IP6 to this X.
My 6’s got latest update 11.2.1 which I heard got plenty of problem with that update, battery drain is the worst.
Does anyone update to the 11.2.1 yet on ur X?
Mind share your thoughts of it?

For new phone, latest iOS should be working well for them. No worry to update though.
