QUOTE(andrewtho @ Jan 5 2018, 12:28 PM) Ya, thats why need to get those not super strong one. Tap tap only. I was previously Note 8 as well, but running at FHD, but battery life is still not on par my iPhone X. Currently i can go on the whole day and still have 30+ % battery while the Note will be around 10-15%. Ya, go gently with the tape QUOTE(kmrdeva @ Jan 5 2018, 12:38 PM) Looks like I made the right move upgrading from note5 to ipx instead of note8 Smaller form factor, more pocketable, longer standby time, snappy little fcuker, ticks most if not all my requirements. Painful for the wallet, though. The Note 8 is a great phone for most parts, but battery life is not one of its strong suite.

QUOTE(666devil @ Jan 5 2018, 07:04 PM) Samsung already allow u to delete bloatware, yet don’t see much improvement on battery. QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 5 2018, 07:14 PM) They have too many 'processes' running in the background which contributes to battery drain. Ya, exactly. They just give you the illusion that there's less bloatware but the truth is a lot of hidden stuffs going on in the background. When I turned off data and WiFi on my S8 and S8+ previously, it still drains 5-6% overnight. Can't explain it. Ha ha.

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 5 2018, 09:53 PM) Well, they better get their 'shit' right. Other brands are coming up fast. You're right, but they also have their own legion of fans so I don't see how they will feel threatened by the other brands just yet. QUOTE(nixuotan @ Jan 5 2018, 11:27 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « So I got an iPhone X recently and looking to rectify the measly 5W adapter situation. I do not want to get into fast charging because I dont really want to spend that much money on a cable and an adapter. But I'd still like to get the maximum juice without fast charging. People recommend the 12W iPad charger which delivers power through 5V/2.4A if I'm not mistaken. I'd have gotten that except I want a charger with more than 1 USB port. So I got to doing some research and found this. https://www.unipro.my/Aukey/aukey-pa-u36-4-...-charging-blackIts a 40W 8A charger. With that power I think it will deliver the full 5V/2.4A even if two phones were connected at the same time. But then I came across this. http://www.siyoteam.com/index.php?m=Home&c...&catid=14&id=76This massive guy is a 50W 10A 8 port charger. The thing that caught my attention was that it will deliver 6.5-9V/2A & 9-12V/1.5A. So I wanted to know what is the limit of the power that a regular apple USB to lightning cable will handle? And will the iPhone X charge at 9V/2A or 12V/1.5A? I read somewhere that not all third party QC chargers are supported by the new iPhones, so best ask the seller or someone else with the said chargers just to be safe.

QUOTE(kmrdeva @ Jan 6 2018, 09:24 AM) I go for normal 5V/2.4A (i.e. 12W) chargers instead of Qualcomm Quick Charge or other proprietary fast charging power blocks. For aukey chargers, that means those with green holes instead of orange ones Ya I was tempted to pull the trigger on an Aukey one but read the Q&A below and the seller replied to someone that certain models are not supported by iPhones.

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 6 2018, 08:53 PM) Wah.. Dont need to charge it overnight. Overcharging will shorten your battery lifespan. Nvm, got promotion. Change battery at RM129 in December

QUOTE(maserati @ Jan 6 2018, 11:28 PM) Not really though. My iPad air 1 came with a 12w but my iPad Pro got a 10w instead. It's a mixed bag of chargers with iPads. My iPad Air 2 came with the 10W charger, I thought only the Pro onwards came with the 12W charger. Didn't know it was random like that, hahaha. Weird.

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 8 2018, 11:11 AM) I would say really soon. Apparently Apple reduced the production of the X because it didnt meet the sales targetted earlier. With the strengtening of the Ringgit or rather the deperication of the USD, I would say Apple would need to readjust its prices here in Malaysia. Yo can actually get the X now at a much lower price than RRP especially if you buy it off sellers on lyn marketplace. I got a 256GB for a friend at a very good price last 2 weeks ago. You mean a used one right? Yeah, I think I saw a 256GB one go for as low as 5k in there. A 64GB for about 4.2-4.3K might get my attention. Possible? Anyways, am in no hurry. I have another trip in Singapore in March. We'll see

QUOTE(christcwl9 @ Jan 8 2018, 12:08 PM) With the strengthen of RM to USD, will we see a drop in price for iPhone X or some CNY promotion?? I am tempting to get 1 if there's a RM500 discount just like last year Yeah, at 4,649 it would be a bit more interesting A long time ago Apple online use to have a Red Sale before CNY for us, but we've not had that in years

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 8 2018, 01:49 PM) This would definately be the winner in the battery department. Energizer Power Max 600s packs 4500mah battery The Lenovo P2 already has a 5100mah battery. Waiting for a 6000mah one, hahaha...

QUOTE(700xa @ Jan 9 2018, 11:33 PM) Hi guys. May I know what's the bad thing about LL set? I found it quite cheap Never use iOS before. Thanks! LL sets are usually refurbished sets. It's OK if you buy from a reputable seller.

QUOTE(700xa @ Jan 10 2018, 07:30 AM) Can you share some of the reputable seller?if any. Well, I've never bought a refurbished unit before to be honest, I'd rather get a used one. But if you're buying online I guess you could check the seller's reviews, that should give you an idea.
