That's true for all new phones actually. I just bought a Note FE (official SME one) from 11Street at RM1859 comparing to Samsung's retail launch price at RM2,599 just months ago.

Ya, it's all about TCO and whether or not the plan suits you, coz if you also don't want to be paying for something that you don't use. As long as it work for you, then it's fine committing to a contract to get a device with subsidies
