Im interested on buying Sony Ericsson's Z250i. Is it a good phone? How much does it cost? Need some advice... please help

well my friend has a 3250 which basically uses the same twisting mechanism,and even though he's quite a rough user,it still feels solid.so i guess its not that fragile.

how about the SE W880i or Samsung U600?

there's also the P990i which is around rm1.2k for an ap set now if you cant wait for the W960i if you hate qwerty and want a touch screen SE then i guess you'll have to wait for the W960i.but the price range should be around rm2k+ when its new.

planning to get AP set..
any recommendations or precautions?

i've read through some threads..and one of the things i worry bout is some users posted that their k800 went blank after changing simcards or something..is it common? coz dun wana buy a new phone then encounter any problem while still new..

and if u guys cud recommend any shops or place that provide good service and aftersales service in case anything happens..and the market
price for both phones maybe...i'm planning to survey around lowyat this weekend maybe..

and i may want a 1gb card for the k800i..is it ok? or some say maybe it'l be a bit slow? no? how about for the k610i?
are there any fake memory card? they use m2 rite? how do i detect fake or not? i was quoted like 3-4 weeks back when i asked around lowyat..
the price for k800i with a 1gb card AP..around 1000-1100..

mayb u can try motorola razr maxx v6. the sound quality is my ex bought me the phone last month & i loves it alot, very sleek with the glass finishing. headset quality is good & it uses usb for everything and it is 3.5G!

mir_nofx, K800 got a weakness i notice, which is the camera cover easily accidentally opened. Why don't you look at K810i?

hmm.. well the blackout issue is not due to the phone being an AP set.. as what i was told, an IC chip was fried and the whole montherboard had to be replaced. and the cost was beyond economical repair. so.. and so far, no one knows the true cause of it yet. but one thing i can tell you is, this rarely occurs. i've seen only 3 cases that have been reported in LYN so far. so it actually depends on your luck.

shops? how about our LYN's handphone sellers like Clareen and Renee etc etc? they provide a very very good price and their service is not bad too..

hmm.. well i'm using a 2gb M2 card on my K800i and nope, it ain't slow at all. same goes for the K610i. well.. one way to make sure the memory cards you're getting are original ones is if you also get them from LYN's handphone accessories seller's. i'm not trying to brag about them or anything, but they're trustable.


well.. i would say that this, besides the K750i, is one of the best buy's today. an excellent 2mp camera, Walkman music player, bundled HPM-70 and 512mb card makes it a very popular choice amongst end-user's.

ok,now got some question..k618 can suport up to 2gb m2??how is the video call quality???might be buying one more phone..hehe

IIANM yes it supports up to 2gb. well it's quite clear, actually. tested my friends K618i with my N73 and both party's had a good image.

well in most cases, if your phone is still under warranty, they should change it for you. after all, that's what warranty's are there for right?

Priority given to nice design and good, solid quality build. And a nice camera of at least 2mp. Good battery would be fantastic. I'm not particular about 3G or music.

4. Type/Size
Either a slider or flip

Initially, i was waiting for a long time to buy the SE S500i. But when i finally get to lay my hands on it, it seems flimsy with a very light plasticy feeling to it . And the keypad is all over the place. Then I saw good reviews on the Motorola RAZR MAXX V6. But i think it cost around 1.4k? Is that right?

Form factor is important? u like to slide? twist? or just a candy bar?
in terms of OS, i prefer smartphones though they have a tendency to hang more often.
But with smartphone u can have many application for u to DL. GAMES, APLLICATION, TONS of S/W.
If Price is the matter. K750 is a good buy, 2MP.autofocus MP3, RADIO, small. RM650 is the lowest i've seen in LYN of coz. Original. Not sure bout the rest. goto tradzone u can find out from there.

hmmm.. how about the Nokia 7390? but if you really want the Moto MAXX, it's not bad a phone. from what i heard, it has been improved by miles since the first original V3, which is a pain in the butt.

if you get an AP set, it's around RM900..


i really doubt so. yeah, it's a good buy now..

Around RM700 , ap set will do , prefer no joystick , bang for bucks.
